South Park: Snow Day is a 3D co-op multiplayer action game coming in 2024

Though Focus Entertainment dropped some new gameplay for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 at Gamescom 2023, there’s more to come. The publisher confirmed extended gameplay presentations for the upcoming hack-and-slash third-person shooter and DON’T NOD’s Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden on August 30th at 9 AM PDT/12 PM EDT.

With a game like Pokemon Sleep it’s hard to imagine how in the world an app would manage to do special events focused on, well, sleeping! Fortunately our very first event is here and the details on how it’ll all function seem as straight forward as ever. This was originally toted as a full moon event that would be available on this month’s full moon on August 31 and fortunately we know that this will be the case but will also run on both August 30 and September 1 as well. This event focuses on the full moon powering up our sleeping Snorlax companion even more than usual and will offer not only extra power for them but also additional sleep points and experience as well! There are some very important details to keep in mind as to how this event will be run, especially for those who have particular ways they play Pokemon Sleep.

Maryland-based studio Exis has announced Dragonhold, a multiplayer open-world dragon and melee extraction game coming to PC via Steam. A release date was not announced.

Publisher PLAYISM and Samurai Bringer developer Alphawing have announced roguelite action game Metal Bringer for PC. It will launch via Steam in 2024 with English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese language support.

A new teaser for Starbreeze Studios’Payday 3 is available, showcasing what’s to come in the live-action trailer, “Follow the Money.” The latter’s release date wasn’t revealed, but it could debut at Gamescom Opening Night Live. In the meantime, check out the teaser below, with music by Gustavo Coutinho and footage that wouldn’t be out of place in a Hollywood blockbuster.

The bad news is that Alan Wake 2 has been delayed. The good news is that there's not really a problem, Remedy just reckons that mid-October is too damn crowded, so it's taking a few steps back—specifically, 10 days—to make room. The delay means that instead of arriving on October 17 as planned, Alan Wake 2 will be out on October 27.

NetEase Games has announced the establishment of T-Minus Zero Entertainment, a new studio headquartered in Austin, Texas led by Rich Vogel. It is currently developing an online multiplayer-focused third-person action title set in a science-fiction universe.

Outsider Games has announced comic book-inspired narrative roguelite action game Tax-Force for PC (Steam). A release date was not announced.

BlazBlue: Entropy Effect, an officially licensed side-scrolling roguelite action BlazBlue game, is now available in Early Access for PC via Steam at a 12 percent off launch discount price of $17.59, Chinese developer 91Act announced.

A teaser at the end of the 2022 THQ Nordic Digital Showcase hinted a new South Park game was coming. Naturally, it was assumed that it would be the next installment in the popular South Park RPG series. However, it appears that won’t be the case.
