A new trailer for Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn has arrived. The expansion is out in just under a month, and as the name suggests, it depicts a world that's busy rebuilding after the events of the main game. This latest video shows a bit more of what you'll be doing in the DLC outside of its central story, with quests that detail the post-credit happenings of characters and cities. It also looks like Alphen and the gang will be called upon to help with the aforementioned rebuild.
Of course, this is also a great excuse to get the party back together, which we assume will play a key role in how events unfold. What's more, the trailer hints at a «new large dungeon» — optional super bosses incoming?

Looking forward to jumping back into this game, was my GOTY for 2021. Hopefully there's a decent story behind the DLC and maybe sets up a sequel.

Can't say I'm too big on these DLCs that launch several years after the base game. Just make it a standalone product at that point.

Not that exited tbh the writing in Tales of Arise is bit childish considering the world is quite bleak and oppressive. I have played pretty much all tales games except Rebirth (and PSP tales of the world) and I place Arise about low mid tier.

The Our Flag Means Death season 2 finale leaves our merry crew in a nice spot: Sure, there’s some British Navy to hunt, but that’s an evergreen truth for pirates everywhere. And in the meantime, Lucius (Nathan Foad) and Black Pete (Matthew Maher) got married, with Zheng (Ruibo Qian) and the crew sailing off into the sunset looking content (and surprisingly functional, all things considered). Izzy (Con O’Neill) dies [sob] but does get to finally share a sweet moment with Blackbeard (Taika Waititi). Stede (Rhys Darby) and Blackbeard stay behind, excitedly settling into their new home together just nearby where they buried Izzy. It’s all very tender and warm-hearted, complete with Ed and Stede running towards each other on the beach for their reunion and confession of love.
