The latest update to Final Fantasy 14, Patch 6.57, brought relief to many high-end raiders, as the update removed the weekly lockout on both entering and obtaining loot from the Pandaemonium: Anabaseios (Savage) raid tier. The update also gave Final Fantasy 14 players more opportunities to get gear, as the weekly cap on Allagan Tomestones of Comedy was doubled.

Until Dawn has remained a core, genre-defining horror experience for players since its release almost a decade ago. We are now taking these amazing foundations and adding more emotional depth, an enhanced look, and a completely new soundscape that a game with such a strong legacy deserves.

PlayStation’s next State of Play isn’t official, but based on reports and teases from insider NateTheHate2 and Xbox Era co-founder Nick Baker, it’s looking to be soon. Along with Death Stranding 2, Rise of the Ronin and the next Metro title (reportedly a VR game called Metro Awakening), Until Dawn is also allegedly appearing.

Until Dawn has had quite a few headlines recently. The video game has been around for several years, but newcomers continue to enjoy the horror cinematic experience. But new reports have been circulating online that the Supermassive Games horror title has been pulled from various regions on the PlayStation Store. That might have had some fans wondering if this is to make room for the newly reported Until Dawn remastered edition coming our way. However, it’s likely not a title actually being pulled but rather a glitch that has dropped the game from being made available.

It may be approaching nine years old at this point, but fans of Until Dawn may wish to know that Supermassive’s interactive horror game could be coming to PS5 and PC. That’s according to at least one report so far.

There are plenty of PlayStation games out there worthy of a remaster - just ask any Bloodborne fan. PlayStation has already proven that it's willing to bring its most popular titles to new systems, and it seems like Until Dawn may be the next one in the docket.

With the likes of Uncharted, The Last of Us, Gran Turismo, and Twisted Metal, Sony’s efforts to adapt first party PlayStation games for film and TV have expanded significantly in the last couple of years, and the company isn’t showing any signs of slowing down. In fact, another acclaimed PlayStation game has joined the list of properties that have adaptations in the works.

It's been nearly a decade since Supermassive Games released Until Dawn as a PlayStation 4 exclusive. The British studio has since moved on to other franchises, chiefly their The Dark Pictures horror anthology. Before the release of Man of Medan, Supermassive CEO and Executive Producer Pete Samuels commented on the many requests for Until Dawn 2:

Sony is continuing to mine its back catalog of games for movie adaptations while persistently forgetting that Bloodborneis right there. Its next game that's bound for the big screen is Until Dawn, a 2015 interactive horror title that Supermassive Games developed and Sony published.

A PlayStation horror classic is being reborn as a film. The choose-your-own-nightmare from Supermassive Games, Until Dawn, is one of the latest video games announced to make the jump from your living room TV to the big screen, though this one seems far more straightforward.

PlayStation Productions is developing a movie based on the PlayStation 4 horror game Until Dawn with Screen Gems and Shazam! director David F. Sandberg the companies announced.

It has been announced that Until Dawn, the choice-driven horror title by Supermassive Games that first launched way back in 2015, currently has a movie adaptation in the works, and will be helmed by Shazam! director David F. Sandberg.

Developer Supermassive Games' branching-narrative horror, Until Dawn, which exclusively hit PlayStation in 2015, is the latest video game to get the film adaptation treatment. The Hollywood Reporter reports that Shazam! and Annabelle: Creation director David F. Sandberg will direct the Until Dawn movie. 

Xur has returned to the Tower in Bungie’s Destiny 2, carrying – you guessed it – some fairly typical Exotics and Legendaries. He’s available till the next weekly reset and carries Merciless, an Energy fusion rifle. Despite going from Heavy to Special ammo, it doesn’t compete with other Exotics.

Crystal Story: Dawn of Dusk is a combination of words that screams "predatory mobile fantasy RPG" but that's very much not my takeaway from the game's demo. Out tomorrow on Steam for free, this first instalment in the Crystal Story series blends the cuddly feel of a 16-bit Zelda with the dream logic of a Yume Nikki. There's a splash of Undertale's crackpot experimentalism to the writing and certain battles, as well.

Supermassive Games has made quite a name for itself. After the success of Until Dawn, the studio has continued with similar gameplay experiences. We’ve seen the team bring out titles like The Dark Pictures Anthology, a series of games that played out similar to Until Dawn. However, you might be surprised to learn that Until Dawn was not the original development team responsible for getting this project off the ground. Instead, the developer responsible initially for this horror game was Sony’s London Studio. 

Vampire Survivors was a big enough sensation that it instantly inspired a horde of similar games to spawn. 20 Minutes Till Dawn was one of the more worthy: a topdown, 2D roguelite with a similar sense of spectacle and progression, but with traditional weapon aiming.

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, previously described by Ed as "an exciting action-RPG mix of Elden Ring and God Of War" has a new trailer - and cat-lovers, you are in for a treat, because this game has a cat called Enki which you can use as a magic grappling hook and a handy source of lightning for your groundpounds. Enki has big cute ears and a beaver's tale, and I wouldn't be surprised if he's related to one of those awful, many-limbed gods Flintlock's protagonist Nor Vanek is trying to slay.

Soulslike action RPG Flintlock: The Siege Dawn officially announced a new release window at yesterday's PC Gaming Show event. The game, originally scheduled to launch in 2022, was then moved to 2023 and then 2024. It'll now be released next Summer on PC (on Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S|X.

Along with a release date for Pacific Drive, Kepler Interactive announced a new release window for Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn. It’s launching in Summer 2024 for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and PC, and also on day one for Game Pass. The latest gameplay showcases some combat and traversal – check it out below.

I'm genuinely pretty excited for Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, shown off earlier today at our PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted showcase, and that's due to its fun position of being a sort of 'second-generation soulslike'—which is a term I just now made up and already cannot wait to stop using when we think of better words for this stuff. See, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn gives off some major Star Wars Jedi: Survivor energy. In that it takes the slow, methodical combat of its inspirations and loosens the restraints enough to let the player feel flexible. Even calling Survivor (or Flintlock, for that matter) a soulslike feels weird. Sure, Survivor still has Meditation point bonfires, difficult bosses, an Estus Flask-style health system, a sprawling metroidvania-style labyrinth of shortcuts and blocked areas. But it also meets with modern action game sensibilities. Everything I've seen from Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn follows in the footsteps of that philosophy. Developed by A44 Games and published by Kepler Interactive, the game aims for that same cake mix of weighty, timing-focused combat, but looks like it'll top it with a more God-of-War style icing. You even get your very own cute sidekick: a little magical fox thing, Enki. Setting-wise, Flintlock is a bold mash-up of high-magic fantasy and renaissance goodness, giving you an axe, a gun, and deities to fight. The core concept is that the door to the afterlife has opened (bad) but you're part of the coalition army that's here to stop them (good). It's straightforward, sure, but if you're going for god-slaying action fantasy, straightforward works. It's also nice to see a game taking influence from the soulslike genre straying away from 'the world is screwed, we're all upset, watch a video essay to make sense of why' brand of storytelling. Instead, you're cobbling together a rag-tag resistance group to commit deicide with. These are big-budget shoes I'm expecting Flintlock to fill, but the developers A44 did also develop Ashen, a solid game we gave an 85 to in our Ashen review. It's had five years to brush up on its act since then, so I'm pretty confident that A44 Games are in with a chance of making a smashing edition to the genre's history, even as that genre splinters off into its own subcategories and becomes even more of an impossible nightmare to talk about.

Action RPG Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store in summer 2024, publisher Kepler Interactive and Ashen developer A44 Games announced. It will also be available via Xbox Game Pass.

The expansion for Tales of Arise, Beyond the Dawn has been two years in the making. And while it doesn’t hit all the notes, it’s a fitting addition to an already fantastic RPG.

Horizon Zero Dawn does not support ray tracing natively, but it would look unreal if it did, as showcased in a new video shared online.

Grim Dawn has been trucking along for quite a while now, and even though we’ve had a fair selection of competent hack ‘n’ slash ARPGs over the years, it is still near the pinnacle of its niche. And now, with update 1.2.0.0, Grim Dawn is taking its next leap forward.

Crate Entertainment has announced that it will release a huge free update for Grim Dawn this Thursday. Version 1.2 will be the largest update ever for the hack-and-slash action RPG, adding new features and lots of balance changes.

Crate Games’ Grim Dawn continues to receive support with a new expansion, Fangs of Asterkarn, launching in 2024. Before that, fans can look forward to patch v.1.2.0.0, which overhauls the loot, level scaling, progression and more. It even adds a dedicated button for evading attacks.

Two years after its release in September 2021, Tales of Arise gets a new expansion in Beyond the Dawn, the first DLC for a Tales game that serves as a direct continuation of the game's main story.

Over two years since its release, Tales of Arise’s first expansion, Beyond the Dawn, is available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5 and PC. Set after the main story, it sees Alphen, Shionne, and their allies encountering the mysterious Nazamil. As the daughter of a Renan Lord and Dahnan Slave, they seek to protect her and perhaps change her fate. Check out the launch trailer below, though be warned of spoilers for the base game.

When Tales of Arise dropped in 2021, producer Yusuke Tomizawa confirmed at the time that the game would not be getting any story expansions via DLC or updates. That seemed like a fine deal, at the time – Tales games aren’t exactly known for getting post-launch expansions, and it had a pretty satisfying narrative conclusion that left a smile on my face. Sure, the ramifications of the ending left some big ideas unexplored, but they felt more like inconsequential background details when compared to the character-driven drama that was really pushing things along. Despite a satisfying conclusion and promises of no DLC continuation, a massive post-game DLC has now arrived for Tales of Arise called Beyond the Dawn, and while it’s nice to be able to return to this world and these characters, I’m still not fully convinced we needed to.

More Mythic+ tuning hotfixes have been applied to the PTR, applying tuning changes to Dawn of the Infinites. Some old nerfs were slightly reverted, some things were buffed and some were nerfed.

Recently on the Patch 10.2 PTR, Morchie's timers have received a longer cooldown on the Patch 10.2 PTR making the encounter much easier! In addition to the trap nerf on the encounter, another hotfix was made previously that extends the cooldown on some of her more deadly abilities.

A new trailer for Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn has arrived. The expansion is out in just under a month, and as the name suggests, it depicts a world that's busy rebuilding after the events of the main game. This latest video shows a bit more of what you'll be doing in the DLC outside of its central story, with quests that detail the post-credit happenings of characters and cities. It also looks like Alphen and the gang will be called upon to help with the aforementioned rebuild.

The Morchie Weakaura has now been broken on the Patch 10.2 PTR but Morchie's hats are now massively bigger in Dawn of the Infinites. The popular Morchie Weakaura no longer works on the Patch 10.2 PTR for the More Problems! mechanic, but Morchie's hats are now much much bigger making it much easier to see! This is an addition to tuning changes on Morchie's traps, making them deal less initial damage.

Bandai Namco has released a new trailer for the upcoming Beyond the Dawn DLC for Tales of Arise. The trailer (check it out below) showcases the introductory quests for the DLC.

In the latest 10.2 PTR build, the RP in Dawn of the Infinites Mythic+ has been significantly reduced. We've calculated the total time of RP, but this does not include travel time.

Horizon Zero Dawn is getting another new board game adaptation which will serve as a prequel to Horizon Forbidden West, featuring a further exploration of the events that led up to Aloy’s arrival in the Forbidden West. 

Unlike similar expansions released for the Tales of series in the past, the Tales of Arise: Beyond The Dawn expansion isn't going to feature new tools with which to fight off enemies, according to the game's producer.

Dawn of the Infinites was available for Mythic+ testing on the 10.2 PTR and we're showing how much RP currently remains in the dungeon. There's a lot of unskippable RP that still remains in this dungeons, with most of it occurring between the 3rd and 4th bosses. While some of the RP has already been cut, it's still a lot of time standing around and doing nothing!

Announced during Sony's latest State of Play, Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn is a story-driven expansion for 2021's Tales of Arise. It takes place roughly one year after the events of the base game, which obviously leads to a lot of questions regarding the DLC's structure. Fortunately, Bandai Namco general producer Yusuke Tomizawa has detailed what we can expect over on the official PlayStation Blog.

Well, now we know what that trademark was all about! At today’s surprisingly brief State of Play online event, Sony revealed a diminutive slate of titles that are sure to please gamers in coming months. Bandai Namco showed off Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn, a direct follow-up to 2021’s Tales of Arise that is due to arrive later this year.

Two years after launch, Tales of Arise is getting another slice of story. Tales of Arise – Beyond the Dawn looks to add more onto the tale of Dahna and Rena on November 9, 2023.

Bandai Namco has announced a standalone sequel to Tales of Arise, titled Beyond the Dawn. Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn is slated for release on November 9. The sequel was revealed with a new trailer during PlayStation’s recent State of Play. Check it out below.

We are honored to announce Tales of Arise – Beyond the Dawn. Through this expansion players will enjoy a story that depicts the world after the main story of Tales of Arise, which was released in September 2021.

Grim Dawn launched back in 2016 and scratched the hack-and-slash itch for Diablo 2 fans disillusioned by that series' third entry. Its last expansion was back in 2019 - but now it's getting another, called Fangs of Asterkarn. It's aiming for a 2024 release.

With the recent reveal that players will soon be able to shape their world Pioneers of New Dawn, we talked to the developers about building this new world.

If you're into action RPGs and you still haven't played Grim Dawn, I think you really should. I talked about it a bunch as a counter-example to the ways Diablo 4 made me feel back in July, and while it's an old'un, releasing in 2016 after a 2012 kickstarter, it's a good'un. There's a reason it's kept a humble but enthusiastic fanbase this whole time—it's good, well-designed, old-fashioned ARPG fun.

Diablo 4 may have overshadowed the hack ‘n’ slash conversation for a while, until it did away with the community goodwill it collected early on. Fortunately, Crate Entertainment is at it again to remind us that the genre goes far beyond Blizzard. The creators of Grim Dawn have announced that the studio is working on a huge new DLC: Fangs of Asterkarn.

Crate Entertainment isn't about to let Diablo IV, Path of Exile 2, Titan Quest II, or Last Epoch steal all the genre's limelight, and they've just announced Grim Dawn: Fangs of Asterkarn to prove it.

Another Dragonflight Dungeon Event week has begun, awarding extra loot to players who complete dungeons, including from the Dawn of the Infinite mega-dungeon! Not only will the final boss drop a third piece of gear, but completing the flawless hard mode challenge will increase the drops to item level 447! The Dragonflight Dungeon Event is active all week long, and while the usual goal is to get the Heroic Cache of Aberrus Treasures awarded to players who complete Emissary of War, the Dawn of the Infinite mega-dungeon makes the event even more lucrative, causing Chrono-Lord Deios to drop a third piece of what is normally Heroic track 437-441 loot as well. If you complete Hard Mode, however, all three pieces of loot from that final bosses will be upgraded to the Myth track, allowing it to be upgraded all the way to 447 item level, making it a great way to get the powerful Mirror of Fractured Tomorrows and other max item level pieces of gear! Developer Crate Entertainment has announced a new expansion for action RPG Grim Dawn. The expansion, titled Fangs of Asterkarn, is slated for release in 2024, and will be the third expansion for Grim Dawn since the game’s February 2016 release.

The Little Nightmares series will continue with a third entry on PS5, PS4 next year, developed by Until Dawn, The Dark Pictures studio Supermassive Games. The original team Tarsier Studios was acquired by the Embracer Group in 2021 but publisher Bandai Namco owns the IP. Check out the announcement trailer above.

World of Warcraft is bringing the Dawn of the Infinite Mythic+ mega-dungeon into a new phase with the arrival of the Fury Incarnate update. Blizzard already revealed their plans to turn it into two Heroic-level dungeons, but now we know more details on how it will work.
