There are plenty of PlayStation games out there worthy of a remaster - just ask any Bloodborne fan. PlayStation has already proven that it's willing to bring its most popular titles to new systems, and it seems like Until Dawn may be the next one in the docket.
This is according to reliable industry insider Billbil-kun, who also recently claimed that the official title for Death Stranding 2 will be "On The Beach". According to an article in Dealabs Magazine, while recent rumors regarding PC ports for certain PlayStation titles have been hard to confirm, Billbil-kun claims that Until Dawn is one such game that is nailed on for both PC and PS5 releases in the near future.
Billbil-kun goes on to explain that this new version of Until Dawn won't undergo a name change of any kind, and there are questions surrounding whether it will be a remaster or a proper remake. What they can confirm is that the game isn't a simple port job, and that it will be a significant graphical update over the original. Billbil-kun also says that they don't quite know when the game will launch, or whether it will launch on PS5 and PC at the same time.
Billbil-kun has made a name for themselves over the past few years as an insider, accurately leaking titles coming to PlayStation Plus a number of times.
According to Billbil-kun, we won't have to wait too long to find out anyway. They claim that PlayStation is getting ready to announce this version of Until Dawn pretty soon, with a reveal expected to take place within the next 15 days. Given that PlayStation is also supposedly getting ready to give us more info on Death Stranding 2, we can assume that this means a State of Play is on the horizon, if all the recent leaks are accurate.
It would make sense though, as the early part of the last few years has seen both State of Plays and Nintendo Directs take place, but we'll only be able to confirm it when we hear something official. Billbil-kun is usually quite a reliable PlayStation insider though, and the potential for an Until Dawn remake has risen due to the announcement of the movie adaptation, earlier this month. If Billbil-kun is right, PlayStation will tell us soon enough.
