Blizzard has posted Season 4 hotfixes for today which includes various bug fixes!

Blizzard has released hotfixes for Cataclysm Classic, fixing a Paladin issue with Seal of Command as well as Archaeology Digsites appearing in inaccessible places. Many other things have been fixed as well, as Blizzard noted — not everything comes in the form of a hotfix.

The Shattering of Azeroth has been live for over 24 hours, and Blizzard has received many reports of bugs in Cataclysm Classic.

With the Pre-Patch for Cataclysm Classic now live worldwide, many stats have been changed or reworked, and we have a guide covering all of these changes. Cataclysm does a major revamp on how stats work in Classic WoW. For the most part, the stats system, while similar to what is already present in Wrath, gets streamlined, with many stats like Armor Penetration and Mana per 5 removed.

While Legendaries cannot be put into the upgrader currently, datamining indicates what might happen when Legendaries are able to be upgraded.

It's finally time! Fyr'alath and Nas'zuro upgrades are now working as intended. The 50% Flightstone discount and Crest discount are working as intended.

Dragonflight Legendaries are now upgradable but as datamined, NO CREST OR FLIGHSTONE DISCOUNTS ARE AVAILABLE. Be careful if you've already upgraded a weapon to a higher item level.

The internal testing branch for Diablo 4's expansion Vessel of Hatred seems to have moved out of the Alpha stage, indicating it is now in Beta. Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred Overview Vessel of Hatred's testing branch on Blizzard's CDN (content distribution network), used for internal testing, has been recently updated from 2.0.0alpha.49443 to 2.0.103.52888, which indicates that the expansion has moved out of Alpha into Beta. We do not have any further information and will need to wait to learn more about future developments.

Blizzard has applied a hotfix allowing the Dragonflight Legendaries Fyr'alath the Dreamrender and Nasz'uro, the Unbound Legacy to be upgraded. They're currently working on a second hotfix that would apply the appropriate crest and flightstone discounts. Savvy players may want to forego upgrading their legendaries until we can confirm the discount hotfix.

A bug is missing from Dragonflight Season 4, as the Amber Skitterfly mount from Trading Post apparently doesn't exist! Lacking a preview and absent from the collections tabs, purchasing the mount consumes 600 Tender and awards absolutely nothing in return. While it is very likely that Blizzard corrects this bugged bug with either a refund of the Trader's Tender or ideally adding the mount to collection tabs directly, players on the fence about it or simply concerned about their limited stock of traders tender may want to avoid purchasing the mount for the time being. With the great amount of problematic bugs present in Season 4, this is one bug players will actually miss. This is clearly not a Skitterfly, and the Trading Post fails to generate a preview, and the mount is similarly absent from collection tabs.Update: Blizzard has just released a bluepost indicating that a bug fix for the bugged bug mount should be coming soon.

As players spend their first round of Antique Bronze Bullion this week, another bug has been revealed, with several reports that purchased items cannot be socketed using the Eye of Awakening from the Great Vault!

Collectors rejoice, completing a quest in The War Within now awards all appearance rewards, regardless of weapon or armor type! Earn plate cosmetics on your Monk or leather on your Priest, just from finishing the same quest. What's more, there's also a new dropdown menu that allows players to swap between classes in the appearance tab — helping players see what transmog they might/not have without changing characters! Note this is sorted by class rather than armor type, so exclusive cosmetics like the elusive Kor'kron Dark Shaman Armor won't show for Hunter.

In Timerunning: Pandaria, players can collect a new fourth tint for Mists of Pandaria raid weapons. As MoP raids only had three difficulty tiers, there were some excess weapon tints that never made it into the game. Over time, Blizzard has put some of these tints on later rewards, such as Plundered Paragon's Mace from Islands being a recolor of Kri'tak, Imperial Scepter of the Swarm, but others never had a source until now. These include weapons with distinctive Sha details, such as Soulsever, Pride's Gaze, Greatsword of Fallen Pride, and Xal'atoh, Malformed Image of Gorehowl. Below is a list of the unused weapon tints introduced in Timerunning: Pandaria. If the fourth weapon tint can already be acquired from content in later expansions, we have not included it on this list. Let us know which new tints you like the best!

Blizzard has announced that Cataclysm Classic realms will receieve restarts tomorrow, May 1, at 7am PDT. Once you're back in, remember to reset your talents — they'll have been wiped!

Blizzard has temporarily disabled battlegrounds in Cataclysm Classic while they investigate an issue.

With Cataclysm Pre-Patch now live in US realms, players can purchase Flight Master's License, which allows characters level 60 and higher to fly in Kalimdor, Eastern Kingdoms, and Deepholm. While this feature was only available with the original Cataclysm Launch, it is available right now with Cataclysm Classic pre-patch, which is perfect for players looking to start leveling their Archaeology profession. Blizzard has released a list of known issues for Cataclysm Classic, including UI issues, missing dungeon maps, and problems with pet classes.

On the Beta Realm for Cataclysm Classic, players can link the spell for the Goblin Town-in-a-Box toy, which is a part of the Heroic and Epic Upgrade for Cata Classic. From the available spells, it seems like the toy might give a temporary buff, granting a 10% discount for vendors nearby.

About 2 hours ago, Flightstone costs have been halved on Bullion items. This hotfix seemed to go out around 11:45 AM PDT, so if you upgraded before then, you probably used more than intended. Best Bullion Items

Blizzard replied to questions about the limit of the character talent loadout settings. Currently, players can only store up to 10 different loadouts, which, according to Blizzard, was added due to storage concerns since loadouts are stored together with other character data. As the blue post points out, while this is a heavy limitation for characters that do multiple types of content, there are very robust addon solutions that help alleviate these issues. Here are the hotfixes that were pushed on the Weekly Reset.

With the weekly reset, players can receive their first Great Vault reward of Dragonflight Season 4, but one important change that might help you decide which item to take is that the Eye of Awakening socket item only costs three Aspects' Token of Merit instead of six in previous seasons! As a shorter and accelerated Season, this change not only helps players flesh out their gear quicker, but also makes those unlucky vault offerings worth a lot more, especially for players crafting new bracers or spending bullion on special rings. So, if your vault is looking crummy, remember that you can get TWO sockets in Season 4, instead of just one! Yes, that's my vault.

The extended weekly maintenance has concluded slightly ahead of schedule, and North American servers are now live for week 2 of Dragonflight Season 4! Good luck with your vaults, and don't forget to visit the Antique Bronze Bullion vendor! Being the second week of the Season, players will be able to earn an additional Antique Bronze Bullion from bosses within this weeks awakened raid — Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible! In addition to tackling the Season 2 raid, players will be able to earn more crests and new upgrades, though they should only obtain one Splintered Spark of Awakening, meaning no new crafted item this week.

Another bug has popped up on live servers, preventing both Legendary Items from being upgradable after using the Scales of Awakening. Players have saved up flightstones and have been excited to upgrade and reuse their Dragonflight Legendaries Fyr'alath the Dreamrender and Nasz'uro, the Unbound Legacy. However, after buying the Scale of Awakening or Scale of Awakening, you can't upgrade your Legendary at all.

One of the achievements required for the Good Boy's Leash that has been gating a lot of people from the mount is Taking From Nature, which requires you to unlock all fishing nets in the Dragon Isles — Which requires completion of a daily quest at every fishing hole. The Grimtusk Fishing Hole, located in Azure Span, has been inactive since Week 1 of Patch 10.2.6, and many players missed it due to working on other achievements for the meta.

Blizzard has extended NA Weekly maintenance by an hour to 10:00 AM PDT. Today is a special day as the first Season 4 Great Vault is available, as well as the first Bullion gear purchase.

Blizzard has posted hotfixes which includes a nerf to Neltharus — Melt now goes on cooldown when stopped!

Blizzard has stated that the two popular guild perks from the original version of Cataclysm, Have Group Will Travel and Cash Flow, will not be present in Cataclysm Classic. Both spells were part of the Guild Level system in the original version of Cataclysm, being earned at Level 15 (for rank 2 Cash Flow) and Level 20 (for Have Group, Will Travel).

Blizzard has announced three Beta Test Weekends that will occur ahead of Cataclysm Classic's release on May 20th! These tests will include two weekends' worth of Raid testing and one weekend of Tol Barad PvP Battleground testing.

Many players are planning to buy their Legendary upgrade or a weapon next week. To upgrade it all the way to max item level, you'll need up to 4,700 Flightstones — start stocking up! Don't forget that the Flightstone cap is only 2,000 so for some specs, so you will likely need on average the Flightstone cap to upgrade your weapon to maximum on your first character.

Today Christie Golden, writer, author, and storyteller, announced on Twitter that she is no longer an employee at Blizzard and was let go in the last round of layoffs. Golden has been working on Blizzard IPs for over 25 years, the last 6+ directly as an employee on Blizzard's Story & Franchise Development Team. While never an employee on the World of Warcraft team directly, Golden contributed cinematic scripts and short stories for the franchise while at Blizzard. Attention all raiders, rovers, freebooters, buccaneers, corsairs, and scallywags! Today is the final day of Plunderstorm, with roughly 14 hours left to finish farming renown before the limited-time event leaves our shores! Luckily, even if you haven't reached Renown 40 and unlocked the full list of rewards yet, all renown is still doubled throughout the final hours of the Plundersurge, until the event ends with tomorrow's weekly reset. Note that because Plunderstorm is separate from the regular game servers, it is likely to shut down tomorrow for other regions as well, rather than with their own weekly resets. Although the event is leaving for fairer seas, it isn't necessarily gone for good. In an interview with IGN, Warcraft General Manager John Hight discussed the possibilities of bringing the event back or evolving the technology into future events.

In honor of International Dance Day today, Blizzard has released a YouTube Live music video featuring Inarius and a remix of everyone's favorite musical track in the Diablo series — the Tristram Theme. The music video features none other than the father of mankind demonstrating the awesome power of his divine flow, so that all of his children may look upon him and bask in his glory. Weapon Oils are making a return in The War Within, adding another consumable to the list that players will want to manage in order to bring out the best in their characters. Last seen in Shadowlands, Weapon Oils have taken several forms throughout the lifespan of World of Warcraft. Originating all the way back in Vanilla with classics such as Wizard Oil and Superior Mana Oil, Oils traditionally have been consumables that give just a bit more power to players right where it counts.
