One of the characters being explored in the War Within is none other than Magni Bronzebeard, who we haven't heard from much since Battle for Azeroth. Magni is further explored in the Ringing Deeps, the second zone of the War Within, and an important event happens to him!

It's a busy time for Warcraft fans! This week in WoW, Dragonflight Season 4 is live, the WoW Companion App is retiring, Cataclysm Classic launches on April 30th, and Patch 10.2.7 launches on May 7th, followed by the Mists of Pandaria Timerunning event on the 16th!

Unlike Shadowlands, there's no quest to obtain the new version of dinar in Dragonflight Season 4. Instead, players will loot a single Antique Bronze Bullion from a random Awakened raid boss each week! The new version of dinar are used in the same way as Shadowlands, allowing players to purchase weapons, trinkets, and cantrip items from all three Dragonflight raids, thereby ensuring they have access to important pieces of gear despite the three week raid rotation. Shadow Priests are close to immortal in Awakened Raids as they're self-healing for crazy amounts! Unlike Devastation Evokers, Monks and Assassination Rogues, who are still bugged to do less damage in Awakened Raids, Shadow Priests seem to be bugged in a good way, getting a crazy amount of self healing in Awakened Raids.Devouring Plague is currently healing for ~133% the damage done instead of the intended 30% when inside Awakened Raids.

With a new rotation of seasonal dungeons and several tuning changes to each of them, the popular Spell CDs on Nameplate weak aura has been updated for Dragonflight Season 4! Originally created by Reloe before being taken over by Meeres, the weak aura does exactly what it says — displaying an icon and the cooldown for important enemy abilities in Mythic+ dungeons. Shown directly on the enemy nameplates, this makes it much easier to keep track of several different abilities, particularly useful for tanks and players with a keen eye for interrupts. Spell CDs on Nameplate — (Season 4) on Wago.io Setup is as simple as importing the weak aura code and adjusting the size and position of the icons to your liking.

Players looking to race through new content might have a bit of a headstart with new Enchantments coming in The War Within — both for Mount Speed and Character Speed! Some particularly interesting Enchantments caught our eye while datamining in The War Within: While most of these Enchantments add the Speed tertiary stat to player character speed, one Enchantment seems to offer an increase in Mounted speed — Cavalry's March. Players have loved effects such as Crusader Aura which increase Mounted speed, and having even a small boost on your Boots would be a welcome gift for players that don't necessarily worry about mix-maxing for raiding or other content.

While Black Temple Timewalking can award 493+ item level gear this week, we've also confirmed that the Cache of Timewarped Treasures quest reward can also drop the elusive Ashes of Al'ar! Courtesy of and congratulations to Skiko! In over a decade since the Burning Crusade, the Ashes of Al'ar are not particularly difficult to obtain at this point, as virtually any one at or near max level can quite easily solo Tempest Keep and defeat Kael'thas Sunstrider within, it remains a rare and highly coveted mount. Although a common misconception, it does not drop from Al'ar itself. Despite popular misconception, the Ashes drop from Kael'thas rather than Alar. Whether or not you are particularly interested in this mount, it's a good idea to head over to Shattrath and pick up Disturbance Detected: Black Temple anyway.

The War Within brings changes throughout Azeroth, and Professions are no different! With the traditional new expansion Profession update, Gathering and Crafting Professions are seeing new recipes, new Knowledge Point trees, and fun new interactions for players to explore within the crafting systems. One such interaction comes from Cursed Enchantments — the first Enchantments to ever have a Kiss-Curse mechanic in World of Warcraft. Kiss-Curse mechanics are commonly referred to when players experience a large potential downside to a beneficial upside on an item or effect. While previous items in Dragonflight had minor Kiss-Curse mechanics, such as Toxic Thorn Footwraps reducing Stamina by 61, the positives far outweighed the negatives, leading to very powerful, sometimes BiS items. These new Cursed Enchantments, however, will require a bit more thought and caution — while you'll gain a significant amount of a secondary stat of your choice depending on the Enchantment, you'll also lose a large amount of another secondary stat.

We've datamined several pieces of special effect gear and trinkets from The War Within alpha, including a two-piece weapon and trinket set for agility classes! Although not all confirmed, most of these items appear to come from the first raid in The War Within, a Nerubian themed zone in which we face off against the underground arachnid kingdom.

Datamined achievements reveal that Dragonriding Races are returning in The War Within, with new achievements for four of the five major expansion world zones! Although not given themed names in the data yet, each of the four zones features six races, with Bronze, Silver, and Gold medals for the Normal, Reverse, and Advanced variants of each race.

Blizzard has confirmed that players get a full Spark this week, and the cap increases by a half Spark every week!

In Dragonflight, Professions as we knew them were completely revamped: gone were the days of simply crafting an item in one go; instead, players could craft, recraft, and recraft again the same items over and over in order to produce consistently stronger weapons, armor, trinkets, and profession gear over time. One key piece to this system was Sparks — Optional Crafting Reagents that allowed players to adjust the minimum item level a piece of gear would be crafted at. Based off our datamining, it looks like that system will continue in The War Within.

Blizzard rolled out a fix issuing a new cache for players that opened their Timewalking caches prior to loot updating for Season 4!

Players can earn Hero-Track gear by defeating Illidan in Black Temple Timewalking during this week's event! Those looking to start Season 4 off with the best gear possible won't just want to take advantage of the Timewalking Dungeon reward cache — it looks like Disturbance Detected: Black Temple is also offering a Cache of Timewarped Treasures that is dropping Season 4 gear. To accept this quest, head to Shattrath and speak with Vormu, right in the center of the city (/way 54.6 39.0).

Two new items have been added to the Patch 10.2.7 PTR: Bones of Mannoroth and a Cosmetic version of the Tusks of Mannoroth. The Tusks of Mannoroth is one of the rarest transmogs in the game with the drop chance of this item estimated at around 0.1% to 0.3%. It has been made slightly easier with a Siege of Orgrimmar Skip in Patch 10.1.5, but at those drop rates, it'll still take a long time to farm. In the latest Patch 10.2.7 PTR, two new items have been datamined, the first being a cosmetic version of Tusks of Mannoroth.

With all Dragonflight dungeons returning for Season 4 of Dragonflight, Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr is one of them! However, players are having a hard time getting to Badlands, as there are no portals by the usual Mythic+ place in Valdrakken. However, the portal in Valdrakken by the Titan Researcher area is still available, and can be used to get there quickly if you don't have access to Path of the Watcher's Legacy! /way #2112 25.3 39.4 Badlands Portal

With this week's Patch 10.2.7 Dark Heart PTR build, a new datamined mount has been found, the Savage Ebony Battle Turtle! This turtle is currently tagged as coming from a possible promotion, but it is currently unknown what promotion it'll come from. There are two other Savage Battle Turtle mounts, the Savage Blue Battle Turtle and Savage Green Battle Turtle, and both of these came from the Trading Post.

Although the weekly quest in Valdrakken awards half a Spark of Awakening used to craft max level gear, it appears players can earn another half this week as random loot from dungeons and raids too, allowing them to upgrade a piece of gear in the first week of Dragonflight Season 4! While previous Seasons also allowed players access to a full spark within the first week, the extra half was awarded from a quest, making it pretty hard for players to miss. This time, however, it's not quite so obvious, as one of the splinters isn't attached to a quest at all.

Blizzard is hosting a Brawl with the Blues event in the Cataclysm Beta to test Rated Battlegrounds! This event will only be for a few hours on April 26, so take advantage of the time while it's open.

One of the most annoying Achievements in the game has been adjusted so it is now soloable. Show Me Your Moves!, the Achievement for the final boss in Mogu'shan Vaults, the Will of the Emperor, required coordination by at least 10 people with no mistakes made to Achieve it. Notoriously difficult to get, it was originally part of the meta for Glory of the Pandaria Raider, but was later removed to make the Glory Achieve more attainable. Now it has been made more attainable itself.Show Me Your Moves! can now be soloed by a character who has a pet (Death Knight, Hunter, Warlock) or an ability (Monk) that can keep one of the two bosses occupied while the character «dances» with the other boss.Show Me Your Moves! Defeat the Will of the Emperor in Mogu'shan Vaults on Normal or Heroic difficulty after all members of the raid execute an Opportunistic Strike on the same construct within a single Unbalanced phase.

With today's launch of Dragonflight Season 4, players are starting to earn Antique Bronze Bullion, the new replacement for Dinar in this second ever Fated season, as well as the Awakened Mark of Mastery for completing Dragonflight Season 4 Master. Once you have your Antique Bronze Bullion and Awakened Mark of Mastery, though, the tricky part is finding the vendors to spend them at. The Parting Glass Players will need to head to The Parting Glass (/way 74.7 45.5) in the Bronze Enclave on the eastern edge of Valdrakken.

With Dragonflight Season 4 now live, players already clearing their weekly objectives have discovered that the Timewalking Weekly Quest cache contains lower than intended item level rewards! Although listed as item level 493, it only appears to be awarding 395 gear. Although an item level 493 reward is displayed, the cache is currently giving out only 395 gear. This is almost certainly a bug and one that Blizzard typically seeks to compensate players for, but players are advised to avoid turning in their weekly A Burning Path Through Time quest a fix has been confirmed.

World of Warcraft Classic's Season of Discovery has brought many changes into the Classic world, including new raids, items, and a whole lot of new class spells through the rune system, but some things truly never change. It is always a debate whether the Horde or Alliance are the most powerful faction. In this article, we'll examine the strengths, weaknesses, and differences of the two factions in Season of Discovery. When we talk about comparing the Alliance and the Horde, there are two main things that differentiate them. The first and most important is that in the Vanilla versions of the game before The Burning Crusade Expansion, only the Horde had the Shaman class and only the Alliance had the Paladin class, and the same holds true in Season of Discovery. Both classes offer considerable buffs to the party and can fulfill a damage dealer, healer, or tank role — but do so in very different ways. The second difference is the racial abilities available to the races of each faction. Powerful activated abilities like the human racial Perception define Horde vs Alliance PvP involving stealth classes. Undead's Will of the Forsaken wreaks havoc on enemy Warlocks and Priests, significantly hindering their ability to control the Undead player. The racial bonuses don't just influence player versus player combat though, and the historically strong PvE Human racial Sword Specialization may be overshadowed by increased availability of weapon skill in Season of Discovery.
