Veggie Weapons in War Within - Not Exactly a Leek

Blizzard has released a post responding to reports of reduced target scaling of Destruction Warlock's Inferno talent which generates soul shards from Rain of Fire during AoE. While the reduced scaling of Inferno should be removed soon in Dragonflight Season 4, Blizzard is looking into a way to redesign Inferno in The War Within.

Players are diving into new Enchants coming with The War Within, and we're highlighting some of the most anticipated: the Weapon Enchants! This new batch of Weapon Enchantments seems to aim for an overall simpler tone than some of those from Dragonflight, such as Enchant Weapon — Spore Tender or Enchant Weapon — Shadowflame Wreathe. While focusing mainly on increasing Secondary stats such as Haste or Critical Strike, a few standout Enchantments such as Enchant Weapon — Authority of the Depths still maintain unique effects that are sure to create interesting interactions in theorycrafting and simming for many players.

We've datamined a handful of new Earthen tools and ornate jeweled weapon models in this week's update for The War Within Alpha! While the tools appear to be fairly basic farm and mining implements, the weapons are similar in style to many of the Earthen weapon and armor models found in last week's build.

Blizzard has posted additional developer commentary explaining some of the new Warrior changes in this week's Alpha build for The War Within, from redefining Arms AoE rotation, to punching up Fury's Bloodthirst, and major buffs for Bladestorm! There are a few Warrior updates in today’s Alpha build. After giving Arms and Fury access to both Bladestorm and Ravager, it was clear that Ravager had strong advantages in all situations. We’d like Bladestorm to be a strong pick for burst AOE, so we’re buffing its damage significantly, and reducing Ravager’s damage slightly. This should help make the choice between these abilities more meaningful and let each ability shine in different situations. Arms We’ve heard the feedback that the Arms AOE rotation lacks definition, so we’re making adjustments to Cleave to make it the centerpiece of Arms’ AOE rotation in The War Within.

During the Blizzard Content Creator Summit, developers Sean McCann and Michael Bybee revealed some insight on World of Warcraft's The War Within expansion, giving more clarity on Delves, new mechanics, and features, as well as a little bit of information on Early Access.

Weapon Oils are making a return in The War Within, adding another consumable to the list that players will want to manage in order to bring out the best in their characters. Last seen in Shadowlands, Weapon Oils have taken several forms throughout the lifespan of World of Warcraft. Originating all the way back in Vanilla with classics such as Wizard Oil and Superior Mana Oil, Oils traditionally have been consumables that give just a bit more power to players right where it counts.
