Cataclysm Classic 4.4.0 Known Issues - Updated April 30th

With Cataclysm Classic's release fast approaching, players across all regions are setting themselves up for the smoothest possible leveling experience once the expansion goes live. We've put together a list of some of the things that you can do during the pre-patch to get yourself ready while waiting for Cataclysm Classic to release!

The latest round of hotfixes to hit the Cataclysm Classic servers are here, with a number of small bug fixes, including the end of the «forever green» Drain Life — with that being said, there are a couple gameplay changes to Mages and Shamans, with Ignite now correctly not being triggered by Living Bomb critical strikes and Flametongue Totem no longer stacking with other Spell Power buffs.

Portals, flight masters, and flying mounts make up some of the most efficient ways to navigate any portion of World of Warcraft, and Cataclysm Classic is no different. The release of the pre-patch brings with it new ways to navigate the old world on the wings of our trusted flying mounts. Getting Around Azeroth in Cataclysm Classic With the Flight Master's License, players will be able to fly in both the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor in the pre-patch.

Cataclysm Classic™ provides seven new zones to explore, nine new dungeons, and more beginning May 20 at 3:00 pm PDT globally. May 28 also introduces the start of a new PvP Season, followed by the opening of three raid dungeons on May 30 at 3:00 pm PDT globally. Take a journey into the shattered lands and plumb the depths of what this classic experience has to offer.

Archaeology — the source of mounts, BoA weapons & armor, and even the Recipe: Vial of the Sands, has been added to the game in Cataclysm Classic! Players can already start leveling this new profession in the currently available zones to prepare for the expansion's release. Introduction to Archaeology Leveling Archaeology Archaeology Quests and Rewards For players who are new to the profession, or those who are familiar with some of the quality-of-life changes that have been added over the years, we've put together a set of guides going over how Archaeology works, how to best level this new profession, and a full list of the rewards that you can expect to find! It's also worth noting that players are able to find epic rewards via Archaeology, despite being unable to equip them until Level 85 — this includes rewards like Zin'rokh, Destroyer of Worlds.

Blizzard has confirmed that Heirlooms will remain capped at level 80 in Cataclysm Classic until after the first raid is released. Once the first raid opens, Heirlooms will be adjusted to scale up to level 85.

With the release of the Cataclysm Classic pre-patch, players can now take advantage of the Reforging system! This system allows players to take a portion of a single stat on a piece of gear and change it to a stat of their choice, including Mastery. Blizzard has released another round of hotfixes for Cataclysm Classic, including a fix for Blood Death Knights being hit by critical melee attacks and several Warlock abilities!

Blizzard has updated their «Known Issues» list for Cataclysm Classic. These issues include Death Knight's Blood Presence and Frost Presence not working as intended, Heroic Burning Crusade dungeons deactivated, and the PvP Resilience stat not working.

The Cataclysm Pre-Patch is now live, and with it, players are beginning to prepare for Deathwing's arrival — new professions, new stats, and the introduction of Flying to Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms are available and ready for players to explore and experiment with.
