The Diablo 4 PTR allowed players to jump straight into Sanctuary for a sneak peek at changes coming in Season 4. Everything from new bosses to new itemization was on the table, and enough information was learned to make anyone's head spin. Our Class Leads took the time to analyze some of the buffs and nerfs experienced in the Patch 1.4.0 PTR, and shared their thoughts below on the good, the bad, and the future!

While trying out the new features and changes coming to Diablo 4 on the Public Test Realm (PTR), some players discovered a major change that will impact Helltide events. As the PTR allows players to test the new mechanics from Diablo 4 Season 4, this change to Helltide events should soon be available for all players on the Diablo 4 main servers.

Helltides are on the horizon for players in World Tier 1 and 2! While this isn't the greatest thing for the long term health and safety of the denizens of Sanctuary, this is quite a boon for Wanderers looking to spice up their leveling experience. With all the changes coming in Season 4, the early game experience for many players will be entirely revamped. Players have been able to experience the scaled-down Helltides in the PTR, and it's been noted that not only are they significantly safer for lower-level characters, they're excellent for experience as well. Players have discovered that completing The Wild Gods quest in Felwood will grant access to some amazing rewards! These include pre-raid BiS gear and Darkmoon cards that are contained in Shadowtooth Bag. One of the Diablo 4 devs has revealed that rewards for Tormented Bosses will be tweaked before the release of Season 4. Diablo 4 is in Season 3, which has introduced players to the new villain Malphas, new quests, enemies, and the long-awaited debut of the Gauntlet and Leaderboards.
