For fresh characters just getting to Kyovashad in Season 4 of Diablo 4, they may find the skies begin to turn red at times — Helltides are making an appearance.
Helltides are on the horizon for players in World Tier 1 and 2! While this isn't the greatest thing for the long term health and safety of the denizens of Sanctuary, this is quite a boon for Wanderers looking to spice up their leveling experience. With all the changes coming in Season 4, the early game experience for many players will be entirely revamped. Players have been able to experience the scaled-down Helltides in the PTR, and it's been noted that not only are they significantly safer for lower-level characters, they're excellent for experience as well.

World Tier I and II adjustments
- To get players into the thick of Helltides much earlier in their overall Character journey, the PTR will see these upcoming adjustments to help make Helltide more fun and rewarding in World Tier I & II.
- All Tortured Gifts are Mystery Chests.
- No roaming bosses or ambient meteors.
- Less monster density overall compared to World Tier III and IV.
