Resident Evil 4 Remake VR Mode is Out This Winter on PlayStation VR2

Dragon's Dogma 2 sticks with the Dark Arisen template to a pleasant but almost surprising degree. Sequels often walk a fine balancing act as significant departures can alienate existing fans, whereas repeating the established gameplay often feels too safe. Capcom's anticipated sequel easily falls into the latter category but when the original action RPG still feels refreshingly original, we'd argue that's not a bad thing. Following a recent preview, we're excited to see more.

Bandai Namco hosted a huge Tekken 8 presentation at Tokyo Game Show, which basically gives us an overview of the entire game. It features gameplay footage from the story mode — which sees Jin and Kazuya duke it out over the fate of the world — full-blown matches from the latest build, and information on loads of different game modes, like the single-player Arcade Quest, Super Ghost Battle, and, of course, Tekken Ball.

The price of mainstream, triple-A video games is $70, but for Capcom president Harushiro Tsujimoto, games are still priced "too low" for his liking. Talking at last week's Tokyo Game Show (according to Nikkei and translated by Kotaku), Tsujimoto believes games should increase in price to reflect how much they cost to make.

Listings for Resident Evil 4 remake's iOS and iPadOS ports have gone live, showing a placeholder date of December 31. However, the mobile version is rather expensive, costing Rs. 3,599, matching the same default price tag as the mainline PC port. The game will be available with support for Universal Purchase, meaning the same app can be accessed across other Apple products you own, including the Mac. Similar to other Capcom titles, players will be granted a free trial/ demo before being asked to purchase the game for full content, hence it says ‘Free' download on the App Store page.

Apple launched the highly anticipated iPhone 15 series at its Wonderlust event on September 12. Update, 9/25/23: During Capcom's Tokyo Game Show presentation, the publisher announced that Resident Evil Village and its Winters' Expansion are coming to iOS on October 30. The game will be playable on iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPad Air and iPad Pro with the M1 chip or later. The Winters' Expansion includes the Shadows of Rose story campaign.
