Quirky Platformer Bang-On Balls: Chronicles Rolling Towards PS4 Launch on 5th October | Push Square

Warm Snow is an action roguelike in the style of Hades that was initially released in January on Steam to solid reviews. Set in a dark fantasy universe inspired by Chinese folklore, prepare to take repeated runs at this one when it comes to PS5 and PS4 from 20th October.

To get the scariest month started off right, Capcom has revealed the Spooky Party Fighting Pass for Street Fighter 6, with free and premium unlocks for prospective pugilists to dress their avatars up in. The Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 is slated to launch on PS5 on 24th October. A PS4 iteration was also announced but without a specific release date. We now know it'll launch day and date with the PS5 version. While the PS5 iteration will be available both physically and digitally, The Master Collection will only be available digitally on PS4.

Megaton Musashi: Wired is an updated version of Megaton Musashi, a mecha action RPG released in Japan on PS5 and PS4, developed by LEVEL-5. Wired will be the first opportunity for overseas markets to get their hands on the title, which comes with additional content. We got a new trailer showing off some explosive, mechanized action.

In sad news for stealth fans, it seems like Snake's inaugural mission through Shadow Moses will move slower than expected. Publisher Konami has revealed that Metal Gear Solid, alone amongst the treasured trilogy bundled in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1, will remain locked at 30 frames-per-second.

Sand Land is an upcoming PS5 and PS4 RPG published by Bandai Namco and developed by ILCA (I Love Computer Art), which is how you know we're in good hands. Previous efforts include excellent turn-based titles like Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age and One Piece Odyssey, which has been eschewed here for something more action-based.

Sonic Superstars returns to the bad old sidescrolling days on Sega Genesis, with a few modern caveats. There's a chaotic multiplayer component, for one thing, which looks like it could be a ton of fun when the platformer launches next month, on PS5 and PS4, on 17th October.

VED is a story-driven RPG that features a turn-based combat system and painterly visuals, and it slashes onto PS4 sometime in 2024. We got a glimpse at its grim, magical world in a new story trailer.

Set two years after the climactic events of the original Final Fantasy VII, for gamers of a certain vintage, the 2006 CG film Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children was really all we had in the way of closure, if you can call it that. Visually stunning, if narratively nonsensical, it contained insane action sequences that are still incredible today. That Final Fantasy VII Remake largely succeeded in being a playable Advent Children is a testament to how good we've got things these days.
