Where does the time go? Asterigos: Curse of the Stars was released a year ago, and, fittingly enough, just got a meaty patch in the form of a free Anniversary Update, and we've got the trailer to prove it.

Lies of P is a Souls-like in the tradition of FromSoftware's greats, but one which has carved out a place of its own with an impressive commercial showing (we thought it was great, too). This subgenre is infamous for the exacting nature of its difficulty, but things have actually been dialled back quite substantially in the game's most recent revision.
Update 1.2.0.0 is now live on all platforms. Generally speaking, the HP of certain enemies has been reduced, and the frequency at which they can be staggered has increased. The drop rates for Moonstone and Ergo items have been increased, and specific bosses have been nerfed. The ability to reset the character's level, P-Organ, and Legion Arms has been added at the Gold Coin Tree, as well as tweaks to encumbrance and various fable arts.
The list of changes pertinent to PlayStation players are as follows:
Balance Changes Field Monster Balance Changes
Decrease the HP of all 3 types of Dimensional Butterflies
Adjusted the rewards for some monsters
Boss Monster Balance Changes
Increased the Specter's HP and damage
System Changes Related to the Character Progression Reset

Khayl Adam is the second best video game journalist Australia has ever produced, and his ambitions of world domination have (thus far) been curbed by the twin siren songs of strategy games and CRPGs. He has always felt an affinity for the noble dachshund, the best kind of dog.
Lies of Pee hehehehehe.
My humor hasn't evolved past the age of two.
Not a fan of nerfs like the ones in ac6. But I guess if this many nerfs had to happen it may have been an issue. Haven't played it myself yet. But good to know.
Imagine making changes for player concessions instead of just telling them to git gud.
Can I still play the unpatched version off the disc if I disable updates?
So strange to see the current news about Pi. When I played the demo I thought it was clearly bad and generic and not worth mentioning anymore but alas
I played for quite a bit last night and i didnt notice anything that was fundamentally different. I read the patch notes before jumping in and the only thing that i noticed that really was apparant was the stagger..and its not much to be honest. Once you get the hang of the game and the flow of parrying its not as unbalanced as you originally think. It really rewards the effort taken to learn how it plays like sekiro more than any other FromSoft game and i wish i was as good as some of those players because they made

Lords of the Fallen's release is imminent, and while we aren't there quite yet, we have a new trailer to tide us over in the meantime. Prepare to die or something like it from 13th October on PS5.
Dragon Ball XenoVerse 2 is getting yet another major update on the 12th October — and as if that wasn't enough, Bandai Namco has announced that a PS5 version will release in 2024. If you can believe it, it's actually the game's 7th anniversary, and to say support for XenoVerse 2 has been impressive would be a serious understatement.
Earlier this year, Sony announced the PS5 Access Controller, a brand new and highly customisable input device designed to allow anyone, regardless of ability, to enjoy PS5 games. It launches on 6th December and pre-orders are available now. If you're looking for more info on the controller and how it came to be, Sony has just put out the above video, charting its development.
In addition to character-specific trailers, it looks like Atlus has decided to favour us with location-based clips as well. Today, we got a look at what dorm life will be like in Iwatodai this time around, the occasionally surreal setting for Persona 3 Reload.
Dark fantasy Pinnochio-like Lies of P launched last month, and we really enjoyed our time with it. Now, it seems another morsel is on the way, according to a job listing from developer Neowiz itself.
Team17, the UK-based developer of Worms and publishing label for the likes of Overcooked, Dredge, and Blasphemous, is the latest games company to be cutting jobs.
Gran Turismo 7's next update is out today, 28th September, and it brings with it some speedy new vehicles, which has to be the real draw here. There are also some Extra Menus being added, as well as new Scapes, with some 29 additional Spots having been added to Brand Central's Nissan section, but it's the cars we think you'll like best.
It feels like Lies of P has managed to stand out in an increasingly bloated subgenre. Souls-likes are everywhere these days, and developers know that they need to craft something pretty special if their project is to compare favourably to FromSoftware's elite action RPGs. South Korea's Round8 Studio should pat itself on the back, then, because Lies of P seems to be a hit.
Anyone entrenched in the Apple ecosystem is probably familiar with iCloud, the company's take on cloud storage. But the iCloud experience has always been best from your iPhone or iPad. Now, new updates to iCloud.com vastly improve the web experience.
Lies of P, the unusual Souls-like action RPG, has made a strong debut on the UK's boxed games chart. The game's Pinocchio-meets-Bloodborne premise had always seemed strange, but it's clearly struck a chord, as it's arrived at number three in the bestsellers in its launch week. Less surprising is a number one debut for Mortal Kombat 1. Both titles sold the vast majority of their physical copies on PS5.
Attention, soldiers: Helldivers 2 is now available to pre-order. Published by Sony and developed by Arrowhead, this is a third-person sequel to the top-down original, and has you blasting away the bad guys in tactical four-player co-op. A new trailer has been released to give you the gist: cool weapons, aliens, robots, and friendly fire combine for what should be a very fun co-op title.
