Lords of the Fallen PS5 Trailer Will Make a Blasphemer of You Yet | Push Square

Lords of the Fallen is this week's Souls-like, hot off the grimdark presses, and we enjoyed our time with the game, awarding it 7/10 in our review. If you've been anticipating this one, you'll be glad to know that it launches fairly imminently, depending on what part of the world you call home, and preload is now live on PS5.

In essential Naughty Dog-adjacent news, Catherine and Hannalee Pervan, mother-daughter duo and co-owners of the One House Bakery (Benicia, California), have crafted a horrifying monument to the iconic Clicker. Famed as the relentless fungal zombies in The Last of Us series, we'd bet this bread one, slathered in butter, probably tastes pretty good.

Developer Larian Studios hasn't taken the foot off the gas since Baldur's Gate 3 launched, pushing out the second hotfix of the week and the ninth since the game launched on PC at the start of August, with those coming to the PS5 iteration, which launched in September. That's in addition to three full patches, the most recent of which (amongst many other things) improved PlayStation performance, as well as introducing the character-editing Magic Mirror.

Long Gone Days is a turn-based RPG with visual novel elements that explores the horrors of modern war, and it's out today on PS5 and PS4. It's been in development for years, with a demo first emerging on PC back in 2016.

Where does the time go? Asterigos: Curse of the Stars was released a year ago, and, fittingly enough, just got a meaty patch in the form of a free Anniversary Update, and we've got the trailer to prove it.

Warm Snow is an action roguelike, a simpler game in the style of Hades, and like it, puts its story front and centre. It's coming to PS5 and PS4 on 20th October, and we got an animated story trailer to help set the scene.

Persona 5 Tactica takes the mainline Persona 5 combat and turns it on its head, eschewing the stylish yet traditional JRPG format for crunchier SRPG fare. Thankfully, the adorable Sergeant Morgana has put together a series of instructional videos so that you can get up to speed as quickly as possible once Tactica launches on PS5 and PS4 next month, on 17th November. Zombie RPG Dead Island 2 is getting reanimated, and somewhat imminently, as its first expansion, «Haus», has been announced for a 2nd November release on PS5 and PS4. We got a brief glimpse of what's in store in some gameplay, courtesy of Gematsu.

Laika: Aged Through Blood is a Western-inspired «motorvania», a fast and agile vehicular platformer set in a savagely beautiful post-apocalyptic world. The sidescrolling trick shooter is coming to PC imminently and confirmed for PlayStation platforms «soon» after.

Wizard with a Gun is a game about practitioners of the arcane arts who also acknowledge the usefulness of firearms, and it's coming to PS5 fairly imminently. We got a gameplay trailer that highlights some of the magical co-opportunities players can look forward to on 17th October.

The spooky season must be upon us because, ready or not, Epic's seasonal Fortnitemares event is back. This year, fan-toms can look forward to wearing the skin of the Pumpkin King himself, Jack Skellington, as well as that of famed horror writer Alan Wake, for whom this kind of thing is commonplace. Michael Myer said he's stopping by for a murder or two, as well.

Inescapable: No Rules, No Rescue is a murder-themed visual novel in the style of Danganronpa, with anime teens forced to participate as contestants in a twisted reality TV show. We now have a release date, so try not to get voted off the island when Inescapable launches on PS5 and PS4 on 19th October.
