Xbox revealed which games are coming to Game Pass in the second half of November, and it’s a much more sparse offering than the one it gave in the first half of the month. However, it still gives users a few new games to play in November, including Persona 5 Tactica and Rollerdrome — the latter of which finally comes to Xbox after having been a PlayStation console exclusive.

The final few Wave 2 games coming to during the remaining weeks of November 2023 have been revealed. There aren’t many titles to choose from seeing as only three games will be joining the service in the next two weeks, but the highlight of the selection is the day one release of Persona 5 Tactica.

Xbox has announced even more games that are arriving on Xbox Game Pass this month, with the adorable life and farm sim Coral Island leaving early access and launching today on the service. 

Xbox Game Pass is an incredible subscription service if you’re on the latest-generation Xbox Series X/S platforms. The collection of games that suddenly opens up with this service is fantastic if you want to avoid picking up games individually. Best of all, we know each month, we’ll get two waves of free video games that are added into the mix. However, it’s worth noting that you’ll also find that this collection of games will not stay forever. Instead, games leave the subscription regularly. With each wave of games that are added to the service, we’re also given a heads-up on what games are leaving.

Another month, another batch of fresh games set to hit Xbox Game Pass. Developer Shiro Games and publisher Shiro Unlimited have announced that open-world tactical RPG Wartales is out now on Xbox Series X/S, as well as Windows through the Windows Store. The purchase of Zenimax Media also meant that Bethesda would be under the control of Microsoft, which ultimately turned Starfield into a Microsoft exclusive. Players would either have to enjoy this game on a PC or an Xbox Series X/S console. Fortunately, on the bright side, if you were a subscriber to Xbox Game Pass, you would get this new hyped-up RPG at no additional cost. 

Xbox Game Pass is getting a surprisingly rich mid-October update, with the headliners being relatively new games — 2023’s Dead Space remake and Like a Dragon: Ishin. The platform’s first update for the month had relatively few games, but the new update has almost double the amount of content, with three day-one launch titles in addition to the aforementioned 2023 titles. The trade-off is that we are losing one of 2022’s biggest titles at the end of the month.

Call of Duty and other Activision Blizzard games won't appear on Xbox Game Pass until next year. On the Official Xbox Podcast, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer claimed that players wouldn't be seeing a big drop of those titles immediately, due to the lengthy regulatory challenges the company faced in its buyout attempt. Since it was uncertain whether the acquisition would be approved by Britain's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) until recently, Xbox wasn't able to do the groundwork for adding the catalogue to their gaming subscription service. Ahead of the deal's closure, Activision Blizzard confirmed on Twitter that the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and newly-launched Diablo IV won't be coming to Game Pass soon, but Spencer's statement covers older titles as well.

Activision Blizzard expects to bring its titles to Xbox Game Pass as early as 2024, according to a new statement from the company. 

With the announcement of Activision and Blizzard joining the Microsoft family, you might wonder where many of the larger games will be headed. One of the many larger franchises set to join Microsoft is the Call of Duty series, alongside every game that has released for it, and future installments.

The gaming world has been buzzing with anticipation over the impending closure of the colossal deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard. Gamers across the globe have been eager to know how this acquisition will impact their favorite titles and, more importantly, Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft’s popular subscription service that grants access to an extensive library of games. While the ink on the deal is not yet dry, Activision Blizzard has offered some insights into what we can expect in the coming months.
