Blizzard Entertainment has revealed that the first expansion for Diablo IV is called Vessel of Hatred, and it hits the game late next year. He made this big revelation at the company's first joint all-hands meeting alongside CEO Linda Yaccarino. This comes after Yaccarino openly shared the vision of turning X into a super app. The financial features might be the first real step towards that, as the platform moves away from the social media space.

Apple is expected to launch new iPad Pro models with an OLED display next year, potentially after Spring. The devices were originally rumored to launch this year with M3 chips, but recent reports suggest that Apple has pushed the launch of the chip to next year. One of the major additions coming with the forthcoming iPad Pro models is the new OLED display on both display sizes of the tablet. A new report claims that Apple will launch the OLED iPad Pro next year and then trickle the display technology down to the iPad Air and iPad mini lineup.

It was initially reported that Apple plans to launch new iPad and MacBook models later this year. Later on, rumors coined that the forthcoming M3 chips have been delayed until next year. Various reports highlighted that the company would not release the M3-powered iPad Pro, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro models this year. However, the iPad mini 7, iPad Air, and iPad 11 were reported to launch this year with upgraded internals. It is now anticipated that Apple does not have plans to release any iPad this year as the launch has been pushed to Spring of 2024.

Wizards of the Coast announced in August that a Fallout crossover was coming to Magic: The Gathering in the form of four preconstructed decks for Commander, the format in which players go head-to-head with decks of 100 cards, each led by a single legendary commander.

Second Extinction, the online dinosaur shooter from System Reaction, will have its servers deactivated next year. Fortunately all that is no longer the case as we’ve been given an announcement today from Nicalis that this trilogy is not only coming, but planning to launch early next year for Nintendo Switch! Those who have kept up with the franchise know that it’s seen a slew of spin-offs over the years including the previous released Funghi Explosion for Nintendo Switch. This trilogy will include all the side games on DS featuring Funghi in addition to slews of concept art, comics and more fun little bonuses for players to check out. The biggest reveal by far is simply that the third entry will be available in English for the very first time so those who have been in love with the series since the DS era will finally be able to see how this story concluded.

Activision Blizzard expects to bring its titles to Xbox Game Pass as early as 2024, according to a new statement from the company. 

Much like a Call of Duty player inching up the stairs behind a wily sniper, Microsoft are closing in on final, final approval of their multi-billion purchase of Activision Blizzard, having more-or-less won over the UK's competition and markets authority. The company expect to bring it home by 13th October.

Now that the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has been defeated in court, and the UK's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has been appeased, Microsoft is pretty much guaranteed to finally get its acquisition of Activision Blizzard over the line at some point this year. Ever since Microsoft announced its intention to acquire Activision Blizzard, questions have been asked over which of the publisher's massive titles will be headed to Xbox Game Pass in the proceeding months and years.

Microsoft’s imminent acquisition of Activision Blizzard means the newest Call of Duty and Diablo games could arrive to Xbox Game Pass as soon as next year. 

Apple announced the new iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max with a wide range of novelties and changes. The new models feature the same powerful chip, different from the standard models, to keep a performance gap. However, only the iPhone 15 Pro Max features a 5x tetraprism lens, while the standard model features an optical zoom lens from last year that features only 3x capabilities. A prominent industry analyst suggests that Apple is looking to offer the new tetraprims lens on the iPhone 16 Pro as well as the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

A game about «space dwarves» mining for resources while fighting off hostile aliens in the deepest reaches of space sounds a little niche, doesn't it? Especially without a Warhammer 40,000 license attached to it. The Shiren series has long been a niche one even among the Mystery Dungeon titles. It’s Spike Chunsoft’s own entirely original take on Mystery Dungeon that isn’t based on existing properties such as Dragon Quest or Pokemon and has long since been popular in Japan but not quite as sought after anywhere else. The last entry we saw localized was a remake in the form of Shiren the Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fates which was originally a DS title before it made its way to modern systems. The newest title, Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island was originally announced as coming to Japan with no word on a localization. Fortunately fans no longer need to worry as we’ve finally gotten our confirmed English release for the title to make a splash onto Nintendo Switch next year. The new art style is no longer sprite based and instead entirely 3D models rather akin to the recent Pokemon Mystery Dungeon remake we had a few years back. This charming new take on Shiren seems absolutely packed full of life and is promising to bring back the classic gameplay and challenge that so many knew and loved it for.

Tales of the Shire is a cozy new game set in The Lord of the Rings universe and it's coming out sometime next year. Developed by Wētā Workshop, the New Zealand-based special effects and props company that worked on Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings movie trilogy, and published by Private Division, Tales of the Shire promises to let players live their best cozy Hobbit life. 

Octopath Traveler II is one of the year’s most celebrated RPGs, and now Xbox fans have been invited to join the party. The game is coming to Microsoft’s consoles and Windows PC early next year.

Square Enix and Xbox have announced that the popular RPG Octopath Traveler 2 will be heading to Xbox and Windows early next year. The HD-2D RPG has already sold over four million copies on Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch since February. Our very own Eric Van Allen scored Octopath Traveler 2 a 9 for its lively world, engaging combat, and fluid progression.

Swery-led studio White Owls Inc. and Suda51 of Grasshopper Manufacture, the studio behind the No More Heroes Series, have teamed up to develop Hotel Barcelona. Revealed during Xbox's 2023 Tokyo Game Show broadcast, the team describes Hotel Barcelona as a «2.5D slasher film parodic action» game, and it's out next year.
