The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is going to get an official mod editor (only on PC, as you would expect) sometime next year to allow the creation of new experiences.
The mod editor, which was announced today, will allow players to create their own experiences in the game by editing existing quests and content or creating something completely new. While there have already been custom quests released by modders, the official mod editor is likely to make life much easier for modders to expand further one of the best role-playing games ever released.

It has been some time since The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt saw the release of new content, as the Blood and Wine expansion was released back in 2016. Last year, however, the game received a next-gen update that introduced tons of new features and quality-of-life improvements, implemented some mods in the vanilla release, and added some content inspired by the horrendous Netflix show. As the new mod editor promises to make adding new experiences to the game easy, it will be interesting to see if the third entry in the series by CD Projekt Red will get the same amount of love from modders as Skyrim and other Bethesda games.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
