Nintendo president confirms the Switch will have continued support and games well into next year

It was initially reported that Apple plans to launch new iPad and MacBook models later this year. Later on, rumors coined that the forthcoming M3 chips have been delayed until next year. Various reports highlighted that the company would not release the M3-powered iPad Pro, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro models this year. However, the iPad mini 7, iPad Air, and iPad 11 were reported to launch this year with upgraded internals. It is now anticipated that Apple does not have plans to release any iPad this year as the launch has been pushed to Spring of 2024.

Recent weeks have seen multiple leaks that have claimed that a new Nintendo console sporting support for 4K resolution, ray tracing, DLSS, and more is in the works and targeting a launch sometime in the second half of 2024. If that is, indeed, the timeline that Nintendo is intending to follow for its Switch successor, presumably, the company will be speaking about it in an official capacity in a few months’ time- but what does it have to say about its future hardware plans right now?

A subset of taxpayers will be able to kick Intuit and its ilk to the curb and instead file their 2023 federal taxes online at no charge via a new Direct File option the Internal Revenue Service announced Tuesday.

Apple's iPhone and Apple Watch are two of its products with an annual upgrade cycle. The company recently announced the iPhone 15 lineup alongside the Apple Watch Series 9 with a plethora of notable changes on the inside. Now, it is being reported that next year's Apple Watch models will bring little to no changes while marking the tenth anniversary of the wearable, potentially no iPhone X moment.

Unless the FTC's Lina Khan runs in at the last minute to physically tackle Bobby Kotick before he can sign anything, it's looking very likely that Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard will close in the very near future. I mean very near, you understand, as in possibly this Friday, pending word from the UK market regulator. But if you think that heralds the imminent arrival of games like Modern Warfare 3 and Diablo 4 on Microsoft's Game Pass service, Activision has news for you: It doesn't.

Activision Blizzard has made a surprise announcement about Game Pass.

Much like a Call of Duty player inching up the stairs behind a wily sniper, Microsoft are closing in on final, final approval of their multi-billion purchase of Activision Blizzard, having more-or-less won over the UK's competition and markets authority. The company expect to bring it home by 13th October.

Nintendo has announced that online play and functionality for the Wii U and 3DS consoles will shut down in April 2024, just over one year after the eShop for both systems closed down.
