With Death Stranding 2: On the Beach due out next year, and Kojima Productions set to begin production on new stealth-action IP Physint around the same time, Hideo Kojima and its studio have plenty on their plate already- though that’s not all. Also in the works is OD, a horror game being made in collaboration with Xbox Game Studios, which, as revealed at The Game Awards in December, will also see acclaimed American actor and filmmaker Jordan Peele collaborating with Kojima.

Several months after showcasing the new trailer of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Hideo Kojima has confirmed that filming and recording with its cast has finished. On the latest episode of Hideo Kojima’s radio -Infinity- for NHK (translation via Automaton-Media), the director revealed that it’s now in the “adjustment phase”, which will take roughly a year.

Some of Kojima Productions' upcoming games will continue using high-profile actors and their likenesses, including Death Stranding 2 and OD.

Kojima Productions has teamed up with A24 to bring a live-action film adaptation of Death Stranding to the big screen.

It’s not controversial to say that Death Stranding is not a game for everyone, but Kojima Productions’ open world title has, nonetheless, continued to attract a healthy number of players ever since its launch in 2019. It has, in fact, crossed another major milestone on that front.

Kojima Productions has announced a collaboration with A24, the studio behind Academy Award winning films such as Everything Everywhere All At Once, to adapt Death Stranding into a live-action feature film.

Kojima Productions announced last year that it had partnered with Hammerstone Studios to officially begin development of a Death Stranding film. Now, another major player that will be involved with the project has been revealed.

With Hideo Kojima having unveiled his studio’s next game, OD, recently during The Game Awards 2023, the Internet has already gotten to work to decode hidden messages that the developer typically likes to sneak into his announcements. They later went with many Kojima Productions members to visit the Kanda Myojin sanctuary in Akihabara, Tokyo.
