Death Stranding 2 was officially announced at The Game Awards in December last year, and it looks like the open world title could be gearing up to return to the stage in this year’s show.
Hideo Kojima recently published a tweet that seemed to indicate that he’s in the process of editing a new trailer – something that he’s been in the habit of for years – and though the timing of the tweet itself, two weeks away from The Game Awards, would be sufficient to lead to speculation about an incoming trailer, there’s more evidence that points to that possibility.
The Game Awards’ official account replied to Kojima’s tweet with a good old googly eyes emoji, which, given Kojima’s love for showing new trailers at The Game Awards host and producer Geoff Keighley’s events, raises even more eyebrows. The Game Awards’ reply to Kojima’s tweet was promptly deleted, but you can view a screencap below, courtesy of Twitter user Okami Games.
Death Stranding 2 is in development for PS5. No release date has been announced for the open world title, but hopefully that’ll change with a new trailer in the near future.
