Shortly after Dead Island 2’s release last year, Deep Silver and developer Dambuster Studios announced that two expansions were in the works for the action RPG. The first of these, Haus, launched in November, and now a release date has been announced for the second.

Dambuster Studios, the studio behind Dead Island 2, has good news for the game regarding its future. Dead Island 2 has been through a lot, even before release, but it seems things are looking up.

Dambuster Studios launched its second story expansion for Dead Island 2 last month with SoLA, just in time for the action RPG’s first anniversary. In a new blog post, the developer thanked fans for their support and confirmed over seven million players for the title, who have slayed 24 billion zombies.

First-person action RPG Dead Island 2 is out now on Steam.Dead Island 2, originally released back in April 2023, first came to PC exclusively via the Epic Games Store. Having spent a full year exclusive to the digital distribution platform, Dead Island 2 is now also available on Steam.

Dead Island 2 is finally available on Steam as of today, April 22. Its arrival on Valve's storefront has been highly anticipated by the fandom, as underlined by the fact that Dead Island 2 is already listed as the best-selling game on the platform.

Dead Island 2 has announced the exact date and times it's set to launch on Steam across the world. The zombie-mashing action adventure game was released on Xbox, PlayStation, and Epic Games Store almost exactly a year ago, unfortunately skipping out on Steam users. Despite its long and troubled 9-year development cycle across three different studios, Dead Island 2 released to positive reception, as it provides ample first-person melee action fun in incredibly vivid and iconic zombie-torn Los Angeles environments.

Dambuster Studios’ second paid expansion for Dead Island 2, SoLA, is available now on Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. It takes place in a music festival called, shockingly, SoLA, but while the vibes are immaculate, the Beat of the Autophage invites something more terrifying from “beyond”. Exactly one year after its successful 2023 launch, Dead Island 2 is finally looking to make its arrival on Steam later this month, on April 22. This news comes just weeks after Dead Island 2 revealed key details of its second story DLC, titled SoLA, a southern LA music festival romp set for April 17.

Dead Island 2 has revealed that its second story DLC, titled SOLA Festival, is ready to drop next month. The first-person zombie slaughtering adventure released its first DLC, Haus, back in November. Dead Island 2 recently shared on Twitter that players collectively killed more than 66 million zombies in its popular Haus DLC.

Much to the surprise of fans,Dead Island 2 released on Xbox Game Pass earlier today, but is only available to Ultimate members on consoles. This is likely due to Dead Island 2's PC edition being exclusive to the Epic Games Store until later this year.

Deep Silver’s Dead Island 2 could be heading to Game Pass soon. The Xbox Store listing mentions that it’s included with Game Pass, though it was never officially announced for the same.

Publisher Deep Silver and developer Dambuster Studios will release the PC version of Dead Island 2 via Steam on April 22, the companies announced.

When Dead Island 2 launched last year, on PC, it did so as an Epic Games Store exclusive, but with the game approaching its one-year anniversary, that exclusivity window is set to end- which, of course, means it will soon be free to release on other PC storefronts. More specifically, on Steam.

Dead Island 2 received a new update that implemented bug fixes for the base game and the Haus DLC. The update will hopefully improve on Dead Island 2's already strong gameplay.

Dambuster Studios has confirmed that Dead Island 2’s first story expansion, Haus, will be released on November 2nd. It sees the Slayers investigating a “techno-death cult” helmed by a secret billionaire Konstantin. It’s considered the “paragon of a new future,” but there are plenty of undead threats to cull.

Considering the delays that haunted the title for years, Dambuster Studios’ Dead Island 2 is a pretty good experience, selling over two million as of May 24th. Additional content via two expansion packs –Haus and SOLA Festival – is in development. However, there seems to be a new mode on the way.

The wait for Dead Island 2 lasted nearly a decade, but the game did finally launch earlier this year, and turned out to be a critical and commercial success. In May, it was revealed that the action RPG had sold over 2 million units worldwide, and interestingly enough, Embracer Group – parent company of publisher Deep Silver – is expecting those sales to accelerate next year when the game launches for another platform.
