Mortal Kombat 1 downloadable content character Quan Chi will launch on December 14 for Kombat Pack owners and December 21 for all users, publisher Warner Bros. Games and developer NetherRealm Studios announced. Additionally, guest character Peacemaker will launch in February 2024.

Quan Chi, the cruel Netherrealm sorcerer and one half of Mortal Kombat’s famous deadly alliance, is now part of the Mortal Kombat 1 roster. He’s available as part of the fighting game’s first Kombat Pack DLC, and is the second post-launch character to join MK1, following Omni-Man.

Thankfully, that will change relatively soon though, as NetherRealm Studios announced in a recent livestream that crossplay between PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5 will be coming in early 2024 (perhaps unsurprisingly, the ill-fated Switch version is left out).

While the studio was unable to develop the feature in time for the game’s launch back in September, it has stated that the feature will be coming to the PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of Mortal Kombat 1 in February.
