Helldivers 2’s opening is a masterclass in world building

Priority orders have come down from Super Earth high command (developer Arrowhead Game Studios), calling all available Helldivers to arms in response to the surprise, cowardly, and entirely predictable assault on the foundry world of Tien Kwan, located in the Theseus Sector. Until Liberty and Democracy are restored, production of the EXO-45 Patriot exosuit has been halted, effective immediately, in a masterful piece of marketing and propaganda from Arrowhead.

Shortly after releasing a major balance update for Helldivers 2, developer Arrowhead Game Studios has now kicked off a new major order for its players. Tying in with the upcoming release of pilotable mechs, players have now been tasked with liberating the planet Tien Kwan in order to get production of the EX-45 Patriot Exosuit going.

With the game's first few updates having been almost totally devoted to fixing bugs and server issues, 's gameplay has yet to see any significant updates, although additions like new Stratagems and weapons have been teased by the developers. With the game's server issues mostly fixed, however, Arrowhead seems to be gearing up for a more gameplay-focused update.

With (currently) two distinct factions spanning several planets at a time, has plenty of enemies to fight, some of which require specialized strategies or weapons, and all of which can pose a deadly threat if taken too lightly. Among the game's roster of enemies, however, a select few particularly stand out for being difficult to deal with and, especially on higher difficulties, requiring good squad coordination and well-put-together loadouts.

continues the unending war against multiple factions that threaten Super Earth. It's the duty of every man, woman, and child to help defend Super Earth against intergalactic threats, which results in a new war starting every time the previous one ends. Among the threats to Super Earth that the citizens find themselves in a cycle of wars with are the Cyborgs. However, doesn't have Cyborgs as a faction, and there's a reason behind that — one that might be disturbing to most.

SteamWorld Build publisher Thunderful said the game «fell slightly short of expectations», as its company restructure is «off to a good start».

Ship Modules in are special modifications you can unlock to enhance your best Stratagems for upcoming missions. These passive changes can alter anything from Stratagem cooldowns to an explosion's radius, making them a diverse change to your equipment. With many available on your Destroyer, it may be difficult to choose which ones to have activated before your deployment to various worlds.

Tanks are one of the strongest enemy types belonging to the Automaton faction in due to their heavy armor and deadly firepower that make them hard to beat. These vehicles are almost impossible to destroy without heavy weaponry of some kind. You may have to employ certain Stratagems to have a hope of defeating these machines in the name of true liberty.

An elite enemy type of the robotic Automatons in is the Devastator, or a huge armored foot soldier that can be difficult to beat. You'll encounter these tank-like soldier upgrades during Bot missions or on specific objectives on different worlds. Stopping this threat against the spread of liberty relies on your ability to recognize vulnerable spots on this otherwise unstoppable killing machine.

One Automaton mission you could get in demands that you destroy enemy Fuel Silos and Stockpiled Ammunition structures on a robot-controlled world. These targets are heavily defended by all sorts of freedom-hating machines that could stand in your team's way. The good people of Super Earth have given you plenty of sources of explosive liberty to complete these missions successfully.

Bile Titans are a strong Terminid enemy you can find in , but these giant four-legged insects can be tough to defeat. Despite their size, Bile Titans move quickly and can easily overwhelm you or your team if you aren't careful. You'll need to take advantage of this creature's weaknesses and form a strategy to overcome the strongest traits this bug has.
