With the current Major Order looking all but complete, Helldivers 2 players are attempting to rally their fellow soldiers to the fight on Mantes. The issue, though, is that plenty of people don't fancy the fight against the Automatons.

Helldivers 2 players worked hard to unlock mechs, liberating the planet of Tien Kwan. They were clearly very eager, as they accomplished the task much faster than the devs anticipated. Now, players can call down the Exo-45 Patriot Exosuit into battle, although they aren't finding them as powerful as expected.
In fact, many players have reported that the big fancy mechs are getting utterly decimated, not standing a chance against even a relatively weak swarm of bugs. Some have described the mech as a glass canon, providing great firepower, but awful defence - so don't go thinking that you can run off without your team.
"It is heavily armored, just like our heavy armor. It's made from construction paper," says Reddit user the_brick_field, commenting on how every piece of armour in the game is easily breached.
"Antimaterial rifle can’t break bug heavy armor but a scavenger can break mech heavy armor, make it make sense," agrees sirflappington.
At the very least, the rocket launcher you get with the mech is going down much better with the community. That is, of course, if you don't shoot yourself with it, because the Exosuit definitely won't last very long that way. So please, don't friendly-fire your teammate out of jealousy if they have the mech and you don't - you aren't helping anyone.
A fan of the original Helldivers has weighed in, warning players not to expect any buffs to the mechs anytime soon. "They kept them 'meh' in HD1 on purpose. They ignored a decade of ppl wanting them buffed," says Remalgigoran. "Mechs are never going to be John Wick machines. They're like drive-able sentry turrets. You call them down when you need them, and your team is supposed to play around it. If done well you get 16 EAT rockets and enough minigun to clear a breach and a few patrols."
Hopefully, the fact that these mechs aren't all the players hoped for means that the servers will ease up. As we reported yesterday, the deployment of the Exosuit meant that thousands of players logged in at once, straining server capacity once again. This hasn't slowed down much over the weekend, as at the time of writing, there are more than 300,000 players on Steam alone, which will only rise when you take PlayStation figures into account. Needless to say, the devs will probably make any future Stratagem unlock events much harder since we apparently unlocked mechs four times faster than anticipated.

presents players with an abundance of different tools to eliminate the deadly armies of the Terminids and Automatons and Arrowhead Studios is giving fans some insight into how those Stratagems are created. One of the core components of the popular co-op shooter is the ability to call down equipment and support from the skies, most of which take the form of explosive air strikes or precision missile launches. They're undoubtedly one of the most fun aspects of and director Johan Pilestedt wants everyone to know how the team creates them.
Shortly after introducing exosuits to Helldivers 2, developer Arrowhead Game Studios has now issued a new major order for players to chase after. Having dealt with Automatons to quite an extent in the previous major order, the latest one now tasks Helldivers with permanently quarantining Terminids out of an entire sector of the galaxy.
Helldivers 2 has a brand new Major Order focusing on quarantining the Terminid threat, but players will need to rapidly liberate four players to clear the objective.
There is no shortage of big bugs to tackle in Helldivers 2, not least the colossal Terminids known as Bile Titans, but if the latest fan theory is to be believed, a much bigger and more formidable foe is on the way.
The latest update for Helldivers 2 has arrived and makes big adjustments to the spawn rates of heavy Terminid enemies like charges and bile titans, making higher difficulties slightly less punishing for some players. makes a point of recommending the use of firearms in the war for Super Earth but one player is going a completely different route. When there are countless Automatons and Terminids swarming the galaxy, it stands to reason that taking them out will require some heavy firepower either shot from orbit or through the barrel of a gun. Having said that, sometimes a dedicated Helldiver just needs to get down and dirty, trading in an Eagle Strafing Run for the butt of their rifle.
