Shortly after introducing exosuits to Helldivers 2, developer Arrowhead Game Studios has now issued a new major order for players to chase after. Having dealt with Automatons to quite an extent in the previous major order, the latest one now tasks Helldivers with permanently quarantining Terminids out of an entire sector of the galaxy.
As part of the major order, players will have to activate the Terminid Control System, which was constructed by SEAF Engineers, in the Umlaut sector. Helldivers will have to jump down to all four planets as they work towards activating the Terminid Control System, which Super Earth claims will inoculate each planet with Termicide, offering a permanent solution to the Termind problems in the area.
Helldivers 2 has been incredibly successful for Arrowhead Game Studios, even going as far as topping PlayStation Store charts for February alongside Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. The game was also the best-selling title in the UK for the month of February. Shortly before players got access to the EX-45 Patriot Exosuit, they were tasked with liberating manufacturing facilities on the planet Tien Kwan.
Helldivers 2 is available on PC and PS5. For more details on the co-op shooter, check out our review.

Developer Arrowhead Studios delivered a new Major Order to Helldivers 2 players, giving them a 24-hour window to finally take back Malevelon Creek. The planet was liberated in only about five hours.
As the Helldivers 2 community formally piles into Malevelon Creek for a surprise Major Order following a failed operation, creative director and Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt says the studio is talking about ways to make such orders easier to understand.
Helldivers 2's ongoing Major Order has tasked the community with liberating Tibit before the weekend is done, but the war effort on the Galactic West just suffered a fatal setback and High Command is blaming distracted divers for the loss.
It all comes back to Malevelon Creek. Helldivers 2 players smashed the latest major order, and now a new one's come in to shut down an Automaton factory on planet Tibit, but we're going to have to punch through some other planets first, and the infamous Malevelon Creek is marked for liberation once again.
Despite Helldivers 2 players being encouraged to move away from their enthusiastic bug-squashing in favor of some brutal bot-smashing, there are still a surprising amount of Helldivers not joining in on the latest Major Order, which isn't very democratic of them.
Helldivers 2’s live service storytelling has been one of the biggest factors contributing to its enduring success, and it looks like the co-op shooter is ready to take another significant step forward in those efforts.
Helldivers 2 players have been issued a brand new Major Order, and it seems it's taking direct aim at all of the dedicated bug-squashing fans who aren't so enthusiastic about spilling oil from the deadly Automatons.
Players all across the known galaxy converge on certain planets under the name of spreading Managed Democracy in the game Through immersive and organic storytelling reminiscent of the enigmatic gamemaster known as Joel shapes the greater narrative of the game as players contend with hordes of bugs and bots. One way Arrowhead Game Studios directs story efforts is by issuing Major Orders. These missions direct the overall strategy and aims of the playerbase.
Helldivers 2 players are receiving one of two in-game messages: They've either successfully completed the ongoing Major Order, or they failed, and the latter option prohibits them from having sex.
It's been a turbulent few days in the Helldivers 2 community. Arrowhead Game Studios (and the Ministry of Truth) has finally admitted that flying bugs are real, and the airborne critters are currently running wild in the game. We were also given a seriously tough Major Order from galactic game master Joel, which tasked us with liberating five planets in just three days.
Sony has established a brand new production line for PlayStation 5 discs in Brazil, which should help make it easier for players in Latin America to obtain physical media for the console.
Although the general playerbase of has picked up a number of important victories in the ongoing Galactic War, the newest Major Order could prove to be an all but impossible task. Serving as the main system that pushes the ongoing narrative of forwards, the Galactic War measures the playerbase's collective efforts on multiple fronts of a galaxy-spanning conflict, with Major Orders representing major pushes against one enemy faction.
