Helldivers 2 Players Are Kicking Teammates Who Don’t Have ‘Meta’ Loadouts

Helldivers 2’s new premium Warbond, dubbed Cutting Edge, is out now and has added a number of new weapons, gear, and armor to the game, as well as cosmetic items such as emotes. But while many players of Arrowhead’s co-op shooter are getting stuck in, some are debating whether the premium Warbond strays into pay-to-win territory.

Last month, Helldivers 2 players were mourning the loss of Malevelon Creek, a planet so hotly contested between the people fighting for Super Earth and the Automaton threat that it was officially dubbed "Robot Vietnam" by the community. It was a very long and tough fight that eventually ended in defeat, but a small group of players has been plugging away ever since, determined not to let the planet be completely overrun.

Good job, recruits. Helldivers 2 players have descended on four "high-priority" planets to deploy a grid of Termicide dispensers that should shut down the local bug population for good, and the latest report from developer Arrowhead indicates the community is about to "permanently contain bugs."

There is no shortage of big bugs to tackle in Helldivers 2, not least the colossal Terminids known as Bile Titans, but if the latest fan theory is to be believed, a much bigger and more formidable foe is on the way.

As the Helldivers 2 community continues its quest to smash bots, squish bugs, and spread Managed Democracy with our shiny new mechs in tow, it's been noted that some of the supposedly helpful Stratagems can actually be far more hassle than they're worth. In fact, some are convinced that certain Stratagems might not even be on our side.

Helldivers 2 is an early 2024 smash hit, with critical and commercial acclaim following its explosive launch on PlayStation 5 and PC. But there are some aspects of the co-op shooter that can result in a frustrating experience, and one of them has to do with the behavior of your teammates.

With mechs finally available for players to pilot, Helldivers 2 fans are already disappointed by the underwhelming launch of the EXO-45 exosuits within the game. The newest release from Arrowhead Game Studios has already seen massive success within just a month of its release, selling millions of units across its PC and PS5 versions. Arrowhead would report Helldivers 2 had sold 3 million units less than three weeks following its debut, becoming one of Steam's best-selling games. Now, a new addition to the game has left players conflicted.

Helldivers 2 is a pretty difficult game at the best of times, so players are always trying to find different ways to avoid or deal more damage to give them an advantage in the Galactic War. There are plenty of weapons to choose from, defensive options to take on the battlefield, but one of Helldivers 2's best current strategies is to lure a bunch of enemies to your location, drop a 500kg bomb on yourself, and then hug it out with your bro to avoid the resulting explosion.

Several Final Fantasy 14 players took to the streets of Ul'dah to pay respects to the late Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama, with campfire vigils and outfits based on characters that Toriyama drew over his career. Helldivers 2 can be a tricky game at the best of times, with soldiers constantly fighting back against hordes of Automatons and Terminids bigger than buses. There are some enemies out there that strike fear into the hearts of Helldivers more than others though, and you'll struggle to find a more hated enemy than the Charger.

Helldivers 2 is a pretty chaotic game, having players fend off waves and waves of big bugs and deadly robots on an intense battlefield. It can be a little overwhelming at times, especially if you're trying to remember and input a strategem code whilst being chased by a group of Hulks, but some fans have come up with a rather clever method of shortening the time spent inputting the code, or just skipping the process entirely.
