The wrestling landscape has been in a “unique” place since the start of 2024, and just when you think you know where a promotion is going, something happens, and things go quickly off the rails or in a direction you never expected. Almost every major promotion has had a shakeup or two over the last six weeks, and so talking about something stable like WWE 2K24 is a rarity. Thankfully, that’s what we’re talking about right now. Specifically, we’re talking about one of the stars in the game, Chelsea Green. While her “arrival” in the game might not seem like much, it’s actually a journey several years in the making.
You Can Play As CM Punk in WWE 2K23 (Here’s How)

CM Punk may not be available in as a playable wrestler, but the community features of the game allow you to adopt the skills of this fighter. This controversial figure did not return to wrestling until after this game's release, so he is not part of the regular roster. The deep character customization can make you feel like this superstar was always intended to be in the ring.
As of this time of writing, CM Punk signing with the WWE means that his official inclusion in the roster of wrestlers is inevitable. However, this process may take some time given his recent history with AEW. The announcement at Survivor Series of CM Punk's return was only made in November 2023, so don't expect any news about his proper addition to the game in the near future.
The only way to play as CM Punk is to download a Create a Wrestler (CAW) from Community Creations that resemble his likeness. When you're on the main menu, go to the " prompt and then click on Community Creations. Here, you are able to view a collection of wrestlers painstakingly made in the character creator, and view both original fighters and references that weren't on 's roster.
Go to the Downloads section from the Community Creations, then into the Superstar category. This narrows your search in to only include famous wrestlers like CM Punk among the many original ideas some fans have built. From here, you are able to look up accurate interpretations of CM Punk's moves, music, and more from other players who have taken the time to construct an accurate reference.
CM Punk was a member of the AEW Fight Forever group, so accurate custom creations of the character should include the theme music and entrance moves related to that affiliation.
According to Gamesradar, some of the most accurate interpretations of CM Punk have come from players KisaragiTV, WhatsTheStatus, and MisterFiendX in. Go to MyHashtags from the Superstar menu to input these player names and look up their work. Simply download whichever version you think resembles CM Punk the best to immediately start using him in matches.
Another DLC package down the line may include this wrestler and a variety of other faces. For now though, you'll have to rely on the effort of fellow players to feel like you are dominating the ring as The Best in the World, CM Punk.
