After escaping the excavation site of The Hole, the Arisen will meet Ulrika in the village of Melve. is home to many villages, yet Melve is unique in being the place where everything starts. Here is where the Arisen loses their heart to the Dragon after sacrificing themselves for Ulrika, and where The Warden nurses the player character's wounds. It is also where one receives this information through a flashback, informing them of how their status of becoming the Arisen came to be.
[Warning: The following contains spoilers for Dragon's Dogma 2]
Ulrika is an NPC that is romanceable, with a string of quests which she is tied to: «Readvent of Calamity,» «Home Is Where the Hearth Is,» and «Trouble on the Cape.» Although she resides in Melve, defending its people with her bow, she will eventually leave as the quests progress. It should be noted that her quests can easily be missed, as she has no quest tracker once she vanishes, and «Readvent of Calamity,» the quest to start Ulrika's story, will no longer be playable if certain hidden triggers are missed.
Ulrika helps her people in two dragon attacks; however, the latter attack is caused by a Lesser Dragon and results in equally lesser desolation. Although not his biological child, Lennart, Melve's fighter meister, considers her to be something of a daughter to him and the young archer seems to take after her guardian a great deal, becoming Melve's leader.
Ulrika acts as her village's guardian, aiding in its defense.
If a player continues the «Redavent of Calamity» quest, Ulrika will be accused of treason by a corrupt official. The next morning, the archer will have escaped the village, and Lennart informs Arisen of this. There are no clues as to where she went, nor is there a marker to follow in order to complete the quest. At first, it seems she could be anywhere in grand world. Strangely enough, however, the route to finding Ulkira again requires a seemingly unrelated questline.
The Lesser Dragon can be killed in Melve, despite being programmed to flee. There is a ballista in the village, atop a tower, which can be used to fell the beast.
After fleeing her home, Ulrika can be found in the village of Harve. It should be noted that she will only come here should a series of caveats are met beforehand. For one, a player must complete theHarve section of the «Monster Culling» quest, venturing into a nearby cave to rescue some soldiers from saurian attackers. Then, the player must partially complete the «Scaly Invaders» quest, defending the seaside settlement from more saurians. Once this is done, the village can begin rebuilding.
Saurians are best defeated by cutting off their tail first, which results in massive damage. The tail can even be picked up and

There seems to be secrets around every corner in Capcom's . It has a world packed so full of detail that there are many interactions that players will easily miss, which is a testament to the scale of the game. Still, missing out on content is never fun, and has a great deal of content to offer for those looking to search deeper past its surface and main quest.
In a gaming scene filled with hand-holding and guiding the player through every step of their journey, Capcom's does the opposite, asking the player to discover the game's many mechanics. Like other good open-world RPGs, there are many little details that make the world feel real and lived in, and these can be easily missed. Not only that, but Capcom's approach to combat has made it layered, giving the Arisen several approaches to their encounters.
Like other fantasy open-world RPGs, allows the player to have an abode of their own. Although there are multiple choices in Capcom's newest title for a player's home, spread across multiple locations, this home in the Common Quarter of Venworth, Vermund's capital, is technically free, at least for a period of time. Despite not costing in-game gold, it will cost time to do, being involved in a side quest associated with an NPC.
Blaidd is one of many characters to play an important role in , especially if one chooses to serve Ranni and follow her questline. However, after Ranni’s questline is complete, Blaidd seems to disappear. In reality, however, the half-wolf man can still be found in the Lands Between. Seeking him out at this point then leads to a final encounter with Ranni’s loyal guardian and the ultimate conclusion of his story.
Like any good open-world RPG, features many collectible items for a player to add to their pack. Some are crafting materials, some are used to enhance equipment, while others are used to heal or recover stamina. There are items, however, that serve very little use outside of being sold to make a tidy profit. New equipment costs a lot of gold, after all, and an Arisen will need that gold to stake their claim to the throne.
There are two primary romance options in : Wilhelmina and Ulrika. Players can technically raise their relationship levels with almost any non-Pawn character in the kingdoms of Vermund and Battahl, but only Ulrika and Wilhelmina have fully fleshed-out romances. These romances both begin with a mission in (or a series thereof), in which the romantic prospect plays a major role. After gaining their attention by helping them with a task, the Arisen can start bringing them gifts to further raise their favor.
Like many open world RPGs, is home to many collectibles, some more useful than others, which an Arisen and their company of Pawns can pick up as they adventure. These range from foods, to help recover health, to ingredients for crafting, like Noonbloom or Moonglow. Although most items have self-explanatory uses, the Golden Trove Beetle, despite its reasonable abundance throughout 's map, has a very specific utility and is definitely one to look out for.
