Blaidd is one of many characters to play an important role in , especially if one chooses to serve Ranni and follow her questline. However, after Ranni’s questline is complete, Blaidd seems to disappear. In reality, however, the half-wolf man can still be found in the Lands Between. Seeking him out at this point then leads to a final encounter with Ranni’s loyal guardian and the ultimate conclusion of his story.
The Tarnished spends a great deal of time with Blaidd as they work towards unlocking’s Age of Stars ending, and it is easy to come to like the warrior as a result. His own questline, which quickly joins with Ranni’s, sees him searching for Bloodhound Knight Darriwil. If spoken to before finding said Boss in the Forlorn Hound Evergaol, Blaidd can be summoned to fight alongside the Tarnished. Later on, Blaidd can also provide valuable support in the fight against Starscourge Radahn before other forces work to cast a dark shadow over him, leading to his disappearance.
Blaidd arguably disappears twice during the course of, once towards the climax of Ranni’s quest and then again after the end of the questline. In the first instance, the wolf-man is captured by Iji and imprisoned (somewhat ironically) in the Forlorn Hound Evergaol. Iji explains that Blaidd will go mad if Ranni goes against the will of the Two Fingers, as they created him to be both her faithful shadow and an unwitting safeguard in case of her rebellion. And indeed, if her questline is pursued, this tragically comes to pass at the base of Ranni’s Rise.
After the Tarnished helps Ranni succeed in her mission, Blaidd is clearly badly affected by the curse placed on him by the Two Fingers. If the Tarnished approaches Ranni’s Rise at this point, Blaidd can be found rambling to himself, audibly shaken and constantly rejecting the notion of betraying Ranni. At the same time, however, he attacks the Tarnished when they approach him, despite the two being allies in service to Ranni. This leads to a battle in which Blaidd is ultimately killed. However, despite the evident deterioration of his mind, Blaidd never once audibly turns on Ranni herself.
It is possible to personally free Blaidd from the Forlorn Hound Evergaol, but nothing changes in the storyline as a result of this choice. Blaidd simply thanks the Tarnished and reaffirms his support of Ranni, whilst also resolving to seek her out.
Significantly, during Ranni’s quest, the Tarnished must fight a Boss named Baleful Shadow at the Nokstella Waterfall Basin. This entity strongly resembles Blaidd, which can cause confusion, although a differing sword enchantment (Destined Death, as opposed to Wolf’s Assault) also subtly indicates this is a separate entity. This is supported by the fact

Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree will release in June 2024, but even if you buy it day one, you might not be able to access the Elden Ring DLC expansion’s new overworld areas and dungeons right away. This is an add-on aimed squarely at those in the later stages of the game, as FromSoftware’s own Elden Lord Hidetaki Miyazaki has revealed in a new Famitsu interview – to gain access, you must first defeat two of the main game’s nastier bosses. Yes, I know that all Elden Ring bosses are nasty, but these two are among the worst, in my experience.
's much anticipated DLC, titled, has made its players wait for its release. 2022's Game of the Year was released two years ago, and in the time since, FromSoftware remained relatively quiet about its expansion until recently. Since the drop of the latest trailer for the DLC, it has many fans counting down the days until they are able to once again delve into the Lands Between, but is this something that the community will regret?
An Elden Ring player has noticed an interesting change that occurs to the Erdtree after defeating Maliketh, the Black Blade. The game's world, also known as the Lands Between, is enormous and filled with various surprises that many players miss even after spending hundreds of hours exploring.

is already a massive game but one dedicated dataminer learned that FromSoftware's RPG was originally intended to be even more gigantic. As players explore the massive world of The Lands Between, they'll uncover a couple of notable underground areas that not only serve as a fresh change of pace from the fields of Limgrave but also pose a significant challenge thanks to their more claustrophobic environments. As it turns out, the developers originally intended for there to be even more of these locales as well as a unique mechanic that would have altered the world completely.
A dataminer has found some cut underground content hidden in Elden Ring. From players discovering new caves, illusory walls, and secret bosses, FromSoftware’s masterpiece is packed with things to find. Some secrets can’t be found by playing the game itself. Elden Ring has some hidden cut content buried deep within its files, which one YouTuber has been digging into.
One highly skilled Elden Ring fan has recently taken inspiration from another player's screenshot to produce some immensely impressive artwork of Astel, Naturalborn of the Void. Their creative feat adds to the never-ending stream of amazing fan art that Elden Ring has inspired to date.
Most players have likely been invaded by either Mad Tongue Alberich or Ensha of the Royal Remains, if not both, without totally understanding why. Alberich is a sorcerer who first appears on the lower level of 's Roundtable Hold. This fight is practically inexplicable at first, requiring players to leap off of the balcony where Rogier settles in at the hub area. Mad Tongue Alberich has no dialogue and only drops assorted multiplayer items, but some other hints throughout the game can help contextualize his place in 's lore.
A subtle detail opens a rabbit hole of violence, stretching back centuries into the Lands Between's past. As is usually the case with From Software games, 's lore is deliberately mysterious and obtuse. Rarely do characters offer comprehensive explanations directly to the player, and even when they do, they almost always do so with ulterior motives. For the most part, it's up to the player to piece together stories by looking closely at certain details. Recurring trends, out-of-place objects, and item flavor text can reveal a wealth of information about the world of.
Elden Ring players are defeating some of the game's largest and toughest bosses with a unique bubble build. Since it was released in 2022, FromSoftware's open-world action RPG has seen the popularization of a variety of broken strategies that arguably messed with the overall balance of the game, and even now, new approaches to Elden Ring's many challenging boss fights are still emerging.
An Elden Ring player has come across a new cave in Limgrave, and what's surprising is the fact that they found it on their sixth playthrough. While many players use New Game Plus runs to try out new weapons and builds,Elden Ring is one game where players often find new intricacies in almost every subsequent playthrough.
