The UK's latest boxed games chart is in, and it's been invaded by a couple of new releases to shake things up. Nintendo's latest Switch exclusive predictably takes the top spot, knocking Hogwarts Legacy back down to second place. Ubisoft is also back in the bestsellers list with Skull and Bones, the online pirate action title that was in development for a thousand years. It's sailed into fourth place, which isn't a bad debut for a game everyone seems to have written off.
Elsewhere, the popular Helldivers 2 has retained its hold on number seven for the second week in a row. It holds back Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, which has leapt up the chart from 20th to eighth. It knocks Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 down to number nine, and Marvel's Spider-Man 2 once again almost hits the top 10 in 11th.
Here's the latest top 10 in full (physical sales only).

@Triumph741 How can you call Skull & Bones a failure when it's pretty high up in the charts?
@Pat_trick I quit the beta after 30 mins. It was a «4A» into mediocrity.
@Bentleyma These charts are beyond meaningless. SS was at the top last week, but according to insiders it sold only half as well as Guardians(a notorious flop) and presumably a lot worse than Avengers(another notorious flop) judging by https://steamcharts.com/app/315210(yikes)
@Bentleyma That is the power of marketing, especially coming from the biggest game company in Europe. But we all know it is a flop, with both low review scores and critics from the players.
Of course Mario vs DK is number 1. Nintendo need only take a dump and their fanboys lap it up.
Is Helldivers any good? I've booted it up five times today and been told the service is at capacity. Nothing quite like paying 35 quid for a game I'm not allowed to F@££&ING play.
@Johnnycide It's very good. Bummer that you've been having problems. I had that screen twice on the weekends but I managed to get into the game after waiting on it for under 5 minutes each time.
Honestly, I’m sort of surprised to see Mario vs DK in #1, but there’s also not much competition.
That said, that’s a total flop for Skull and Bones for sure. While I’m sure it had digital sales, Ubisoft is one of the companies that actually pushes the
