It's been a while since we last heard anything from Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League—it was April, in fact, when Warner Bros. announced that the planned 2023 release had been pushed to February 2, 2024. But if you check your calendar you'll note that date is now less than three months away, and so it is that Warner and developer Rocksteady are cranking up the hype machine with the first «Suicide Squad Insider» video, which takes a closer look at the game's story, «traversal mechanics,» and the new game world of Metropolis.

Today's episode is all about story and gameplay and features more than 20 minutes of new gameplay and behind-the-scenes details about the upcoming third-person action shooter. 

After months of silence, Rocksteady Studios and WB Games have finally started talking about the upcoming Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League again, and in addition to showing plenty of new gameplay footage and revealing new details on the story, combat, and more, they’ve also showcased some neat bonuses that DC fans are likely to appreciate.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is one of the biggest question marks on the near horizon – the new co-op DC Comics actioner has the pedigree, coming from Batman Arkham developer Rocksteady Studios, but its gameplay debut was not well-received (largely due its live service elements). That backlash led to a delay and we haven’t seen anymore more from the game in months. Well, today Rocksteady dropped their first “Suicide Squad Insider” video, showcasing a bunch of new footage of the game in action. You can check it out for yourself, below.

Batman: Arkham developer Rocksteady Studios peeled back the curtain on Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League in a new 20-minute video on Wednesday, a preview that sure goes a long way toward addressing the tepid reception to the game’s previous reveal.

It's been nearly nine months since Rocksteady finally unveiled the debut gameplay of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League during February's State of Play showcase.

But what will excite players is that if the game follows the recent rumors on Reddit, then the map of the title will be twice the size of Batman: Arkham Knight.

A recent leak from a Redditor (verified by a mod) alleged new details on the Deluxe and Day One Edition in addition to one year of post-launch support. They reportedly saw a new “not final” trailer at a recent trade show, stating that the game has real-time weather and a day/night cycle.

When Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was delayed past its initial May 2023 release date, it felt like a long way off. However, we’re in October, and neither Rocksteady Studios nor Warner Bros. Games has provided any updates. An official announcement could be coming soon, as a Redditor recently saw an internal “not final” trailer at a trade show.
