Following the release of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3’s Season 3 Reloaded update this week, dataminers have unearthed compelling evidence that the shooter is set for a number of eye-catching collaborations for Season 4.

Runaway waifu horse racing sensation Umamusume: Pretty Derby will make its PlayStation debut on 30th August, when minigame spin-off Party Dash gallops to PS4 in Japan and around the world. Unlike the main mobile game – which isn’t available in the west yet – this console outing centres on the Slapdash Grand Prix, which features four different sporting events, each with unique gameplay mechanics.

March was a good month for new games, as a number of fresh releases walked straight into the USA software charts. As per Circana (formerly NPD) analyst Mat Piscatella, it was Dragon's Dogma 2 that caught fire in March, claiming the crown as the month's best-selling title. The action RPG sequel is also the third best-selling game of the year, which is quite impressive.

The PS Store listing for Horizon Zero Dawn has been updated to state it's leaving PS Plus Extra on 21st May 2024. As a first-party title published by Sony and internally developed at Guerrilla Games, the move comes as a surprise as it was thought all the titles Sony holds the rights to would remain on the service in perpetuity.

Today marks a momentous occasion for Sea of Thieves: it expands to all-new platforms with a PS5 release, Season 12 content expands the game for all players (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC), and developer Rare makes its debut on a PlayStation console. Update: Sucker Punch says it's put a stop to the freezing problem that's been plaguing Ghost of Tsushima since the release of its latest update. There's been a lot of discussion surrounding the commercial success of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. The PS5 exclusive launched on the 29th February, but despite garnering near universal acclaim from critics, questions were quickly raised regarding sales numbers, with Square Enix yet to provide any official statistics (which usually isn't a great sign).

Following yesterday's launch of Sea of Thieves on PS5, Microsoft has now delivered on its initial multi-platform promise to bring some of its exclusive Xbox experiences to new consoles. Having made the surprise announcement in February, the firm has brought Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush, Grounded, and the aforementioned seafaring adventure to PS5, PS4 boxes as well as Nintendo Switch. D3 has confirmed it'll be bringing Earth Defense Force 6 to Western shores on PS5, PS4 from 24th July 2024, just shy of two years after its original Japanese release. Bethesda Game Studios is fixing one of the worst things about Starfield — its maps. The lack of readable maps was one of my biggest gripes with the spacefaring adventure game; regardless of how many times I visited a city, I got lost. Thankfully, that’s changing. A new developer stream for Star Wars: The Old Republic showed a surprising feature on the way in Game Update 7.5. Players will be able to earn their own farmstead on the planet of Dantooine after completing a quest chain. A bug is missing from Dragonflight Season 4, as the Amber Skitterfly mount from Trading Post apparently doesn't exist! Lacking a preview and absent from the collections tabs, purchasing the mount consumes 600 Tender and awards absolutely nothing in return. While it is very likely that Blizzard corrects this bugged bug with either a refund of the Trader's Tender or ideally adding the mount to collection tabs directly, players on the fence about it or simply concerned about their limited stock of traders tender may want to avoid purchasing the mount for the time being. With the great amount of problematic bugs present in Season 4, this is one bug players will actually miss. This is clearly not a Skitterfly, and the Trading Post fails to generate a preview, and the mount is similarly absent from collection tabs.Update: Blizzard has just released a bluepost indicating that a bug fix for the bugged bug mount should be coming soon.

Despite having released only two games, the two entries in the beautiful Metroidvania series Ori, Austrian developer Moon Studios is rightly considered among the top studios founded in the 2000s. The former NPD Group (now named “Circana”) has released its full North American sales data for March, and it seems like it was an up-and-down month for the industry. Players spent $4.9 billion on games, additional content, and hardware in March, up 4 percent year-on-year. An incredibly rare Nintendo DS is being auctioned off, and it could sell for over £15,000. The Nintendo DS was first released in 2004 as the successor to the Nintendo Game Boy Advance and evolved the Big N's classic handheld formula by including a second touchscreen that players could use for hit titles like The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks and Pokemon Black and White. While it was eventually phased out in favor of the upgraded Nintendo 3DS in 2011, the original Nintendo DS remains one of gaming’s most well-remembered portable systems, with several of its past exclusives being released on current hardware to this day.

I grew up adoring Lego video games, but recent efforts from TT Games like The Skywalker Saga just haven’t gelled with me. That’s why Funko Fusion piqued my interest. Rusty’s Retirement is an idle farming simulator that does the work for you — while you work. The game, which was released on April 26 by Mister Morris Games, sits at the bottom of your computer screen and basically runs itself; simply plant some seeds and Rusty and a team of cute robot pals will get to work turning the crops into biofuel, which can be reinvested in your ever-expanding farm.

DreadXP  and Lovely Hellplace have announced that the classic early 2000’s inspired open world RPG Dread Delusion will be exiting early access and getting its full release on May 14th. The game has been in early access since June 2022, and has received positive feedback from the community during the early access phase.

RapidEyeMovers and Wolf & Wood have announced the a new free update for C-Smash VRS that will be available from May 1st. This update will add a new time attack mode, where you need to destroy as many blocks as possible in a set time. There will also be monthly refreshes of the top 10 in leader boards. A practice mode and a feature shortcut on the main menu are also being added. The C-Smash VRS May 1st updates notes have been released, and you view them below.

Pine Hearts has been given a release date of May 23rd by Hyper Luminal Games, and there is also confirmation the game will be on both PC and Switch. Previously, Pine Hearts was only destined for PC.In the game, players play as the character Tyke who will wander the world making friends, helping them solve problems, and just chill out too.

Pokemon tends to leave about six months between Squishmallow releases and right on time, its next pair of popular plushes is now available to pre-order. Long-rumored and eventually revealed, it's been known for a while now that the next two Pokemon getting the Squishmallow treatment would be Dragonite and Marill. All we knew regarding a potential release date was the summer, but now the Squishmallows are available and you can pre-order them through the Pokemon Center.

The next Xbox Games Showcase is scheduled to air this summer and it looks like it could also feature a Call of Duty Direct, too.
