Don't turn your back, don't look away, and don't blink!” That line from the iconicDoctor Who episode, “Blink” will go down as one of the most memorable quotes in the history of the show.  It introduced us to the Weeping Angels, who are now some of the most popular villains in Doctor Who. So it’s no surprise that when Wizards of the Coast announced their Magic: The Gathering Universes Beyond collaboration with the BBC, that the Weeping Angels would make an appearance.  In fact, there is an entire Commander deck being dedicated to the villains of Doctor Who.  Recently, I had the chance to see a huge preview of the upcoming Universes Beyond Commander decks that will be releasing on October 13th. 

Titmouse, the LA-based animation studio behind Metalocalypse and The Venture Bros., shared a new trailer for their upcoming sci-fi adventure series Scavengers Reign on Wednesday. The adult animated drama centers on the crew of an interstellar freighter ship who, after surviving their crash on an uncharted alien world, must fight to build a new way of life while searching for a way of returning home.

Square Enix has released the Tokyo Game Show 2023 trailer for the newly announced RPG SaGa Emerald Beyond.

From leaked court documents we now know that Microsoft dreamed up a «cloud hybrid» games console. One that would harness both the power of a local AMD Zen 6 or ARM CPU, a Navi 5 semi-custom GPU, and a cloud gaming platform to deliver «new levels of performance beyond the capabilities of the client hardware alone.»

Unlike similar expansions released for the Tales of series in the past, the Tales of Arise: Beyond The Dawn expansion isn't going to feature new tools with which to fight off enemies, according to the game's producer.

Announced during Sony's latest State of Play, Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn is a story-driven expansion for 2021's Tales of Arise. Square Enix has announced SaGa Emerald Beyond for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, PC, iOS, and Android. It will launch digitally in early 2024 worldwide.

During their September 2023 Nintendo Direct, Nintendo revealed the next title in the SaGa franchise as SaGA Emerald Beyond. The title will serve as a standalone entry in the franchise. We also got a reveal trailer showing off the cool character design and gameplay.

It looks like an updated version of Ubisoft’s iconic PS2 era platformer Beyond Good & Evil could be coming to the PS5, as a listing for a 20th Anniversary Edition has been uncovered on the US ratings board website, the ESRB. Bethesda's spacefaring adventure has its moments with impressive scale, satisfying combat, and some worthwhile side quests, but its shallow RPG systems and uninspired vision of the cosmos make for a journey that's a mile wide, but an inch deep.

Whether we’ll ever get to see Beyond Good and Evil 2 again, much less actually play it, is a question we’re still asking now, more than six years on from its official announcement, but though that question still remains unanswered, it seems Ubisoft might have something planned for the IP nonetheless.

Baldur's Gate 3 is already performing "way beyond" the expectations of developer Larian.

Launching in full for PC last week after spending nearly three years in early access, Baldur’s Gate 3 has got off to a stellar start, perhaps even to a level that’s caught many by surprise. On top of widespread praise, the game has been pulling in players in drove, having enjoyed a peak concurrent user count of over 814,000 on Steam (as per SteamDB), which is the ninth-highest concurrent user count a game has ever seen on the platform. All the excitement surrounding it has also boosted the upcoming PS5 version’s sales.

On Saturday, Larian founder Swen Vincke watched Baldur's Gate 3's concurrent player count on Steam break 800,000, earning it a spot among Steam's all-time most-played games. His reaction?
