Tekken 8 is on its way, and fans now have a sneak peek of the upcoming game’s Achievement and Trophy list. The latest installment in the long-running Tekken franchise launches on Friday, January 26th, introducing new mechanics and four new characters.
Developed by Arika and Bandai Namco Studios, Tekken 8 picks up six months after the previous game. According to Bandai Namco, it will feature the final confrontation between father and son Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama, a conflict central to Tekken’s ongoing storyline for decades. Meanwhile, the game’s new Heat system lets characters enter a Heat State with an additional move set and other modifiers.

Thanks to the game’s recently added page on PSN Profiles, Tekken fans can get a sneak peek of the upcoming game’s Trophies. The upcoming Tekken 8 has 47 PlayStation Trophies, covering the expected range of in-game activities. These include 34 Bronze Trophies, 9 Silver Trophies, 3 Gold Trophies, and 1 Platinum for a total of 1,350 points. While Xbox uses a different points system from PlayStation, the available Achievements should be the same as PSN Trophies.
Scrolling through the list of Tekken 8 trophies, nothing jumps out as particularly unusual. They ask players to do a little bit of everything, though several notably exclude offline player battles. These include all four Achievements/Trophies related to Tekken 8’s new Heat system. Among them are “Do you think you can stop me?”, which asks players to perform 10 Heat Dashes, while the Trophy “Fear my wrath” is for dealing 20 Heat Smashes. “Your fate is already decided” requires Tekken 8 players to enter Heat using a Heat Engager, and “What a Rush!” asks them to Perform five heat bursts.
Many of the game’s other achievements are tied to specific single-player modes. Six are exclusive to Tekken 8’s The Dark Awakens main storyline, all but one of which are based on story progression. Based on the Trophy requirements, there are 15 story chapters and two different endings. In addition, three achievements are exclusive to the single-player Arcade Quest mode, and one Achievement/Trophy for dealing 2000 damage in Practice mode. On a somewhat related note, one achievement references a Replays & Tips feature. A few others are multiplayer-specific.
Bandai Namco's Tekken 8 will be the franchise's debut entry on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, and the fighting game is built in Unreal Engine 5. The story revolves around Kazuya Mishima and Jin Kazama's relationship.
