It sounds like a few actresses will be doing screen tests for the character of in the new DC Universe.
Deadline is reporting that DC Studios is looking to have Emilia Jones, Milly Alcock, and Meg Donnelly test for the role of Kara Zor-El/Supergirl. Though the first Supergirl movie in the DCU — titled Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow — was announced to be part of Phase One, the outlet says the character could be making a cameo in a DC movie that isn’t said film.
A director for the Supergirl movie is still being searched for, but it sounds as though an actress for the character is the current priority since she could appear in a project beforehand. DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn is apparently involved in the process, with the screen tests likely to take place in the next month.
The DC Universe’s first phase, called Chapter One: Gods and Monsters, will feature a multitude of different movies and television shows. A few of the announced projects include Superman: Legacy, a Batman and Robin-focused movie called The Brave and the Bold, the Supergirl movie titled Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, a Swamp Thing film, and multiple TV shows.

The upcoming features a digital recreation of the eponymous character that looks and sounds a lot like Harrison Ford, allowing players to immerse themselves in a new adventure with the iconic archaeologist. The game will occur between the events of the movies and while presenting yet another dangerous worldwide quest that Indy is drawn into. As well-known as this hero of archeology is, nothing created in the franchise would be the same without the image and voice of Harrison Ford.
MachineGames unveiled Indiana Jones and the Great Circle at the recent Xbox Developer_Direct, confirming that the first-person action-adventure game will be launching later this year. Plenty of gameplay was showcased and new details were shared- along with who will be playing the titular role, which, of course, is a question that many have asked since the game was first confirmed to be in development in 2021.
