Spider-Man 2 Uses Cuban Flag Instead Of Puerto Rican In Miles' Room

Miles Morales is New York-born and bred, but he's very proud of his mother's Puerto Rican roots. Not so much that he can remember what its flag looks like, apparently, as he instead chooses to hang the Cuban flag in his home in Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Unsurprisingly, this was a mistake on the developers' part and one that will be fixed in a future patch.
In what is a pretty big oversight, Insomniac got the Cuban and Puerto Rican flags mixed up, giving Miles the wrong flag for his home, despite him sporting the correct colours elsewhere in the game. This mistake is still present in the game, confusing players who stumble across it.

Fans were quick to spot the error in Miles' home, since it's pretty hard to miss. There, taking up so much of the wall space is the flag of a country Miles has nothing to do with. Unless he just really likes Cuba?
In any case, the director of community and marketing at Insomniac, James Stevenson, has confirmed that this was a mistake, and a fix is coming soon. It's not clear when this will come into effect, but given that it's presumably a small enough issue to address, we should expect it in a future hotfix.
This isn't the only instance of Spider-Man 2 seemingly sporting the wrong flag entirely. As spotted by other players, bunting of US and Cuban flags can be found outside of the Morales home. Given that pairing the US and Puerto Rican flags together would make far more sense for the game, it's safe to assume this was also an error, once again getting the colours muddled up. Curiously, this mistake was not made for one of Miles' suits, which shows the correct flag very prominently.
Unfortunately, even with this issue fixed, Miles Morales' big sequel appearance isn't going off without a hitch. As our Cross-Department editor James Troughton spotted in their playthrough, Miles can straight up turn into a cube, for some reason. Either that, or his body disappears entirely, and he's just a floating head in cutscenes. Given how hyped his appearance was after the success of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse earlier this year, it's pretty disappointing to see his implementation face so many issues.
Outside of that though, the launch has been a hit. Spider-Man 2 is reviewing incredibly well, sitting at a 91 on Metacritic. In our review, Editor-in-Chief Stacey Henley gave the game a 4.5 out of 5, praising the storytelling, particularly in Miles' segments.
