Spider-Man 2's first round of post-launch DLC has been revealed and, strangely enough, it includes crossovers with a streetwear brand, a pop star, a football player, and a racecar driver.
Two years after it was originally revealed at the 2021 PlayStation Showcase, we're less than a week away from the long-awaited release of Spider-Man 2. Although most fans are probably just thinking about what they're going to do in the base game and not looking too far beyond October 20, it seems like Insomniac Games is, as it apparently already has some post-launch DLC plans in mind.

Over on Twitter, KidSuper, a streetwear brand based in Brooklyn and run by Colm Dillane, revealed that it was going to be working on a "custom-designed Spidey Suit" that will be added to Spider-Man 2 sometime after it has launched. KidSuper's tweet was later retweeted by Insomniac Games' official Twitter account, confirming that it's a legitimate crossover.
That might seem like a bit of a random reveal that's come out of nowhere, but it's apparently just the start of what Insomniac has planned for Spider-Man 2's post-launch plans. KidSuper's tweet also revealed that more Spidey suits are coming to the game thanks to collaborations with popstar Rina Sawayama, McLaren racecar driver Lando Norris, and Real Madrid Winger Vinicius Junior.
We don't know much yet about the collaborations that are happening with everyone else that was mentioned, but a video attached to that tweet at least gave us a little more information about what KidSuper is working on for Spider-Man 2, such as the fact that the new suits will be available for both Peter and Miles to wear. Dillane also says that he worked alongside the other collaborators to design the suits, although it seems like each person working on them will have their own unique suits to bring to the game.
It's not currently confirmed whether the post-launch suits will be added to the game for free, but it seems likely that they will as that's what Insomniac Games did for all of the post-launch movie suits, such as the Raimi Suit and several of Tom Holland's outfits, following the launch of the first Spider-Man game.
This might seem like a bit of a random crossover for Insomniac, but it's far from the first time that it's done so when it comes to Spider-Man suits. The first Spider-Man featured the Velocity Suit, which was an original design created by comic book artist and film character designer Adi Granov, alongside other original designs like the appropriately named Aaron Aikman Suit.
