Death is bound to be a traumatizing experience, but at least it’s a one-time deal.  The lights go out and that’s it, pain is over as the body shuts down for good, but in the afterlife of Hauntii the transition from living being to wandering spirit has wiped the memory of a slightly-confused soul.  A little disorientation is expected, though, so helpful signs point the ghost (also named Hauntii) in the right direction and let it know of a few new abilities its living form wouldn’t have had access to.  With nowhere else to go the spirit sets out along the path to discover what’s next.

The Top Racer series was something of a hidden gem in the 16-bit and 64-bit days when it was known as Top Gear in North America and Top Racer internationally. While Top Racer 1, Top Racer 2, and the future-set Top Racer 3000 are existing releases, there will also be a crossover with Aquiris titled Top Racer Crossroads. The latter doesn’t have footage shown for it, but does appear to be a blend of Top Racer content in the more modern-day Horizon Chase art style. Top Racer used things like comic book-style speech bubbles and those will be featured in Crossroads, which could wind up being the real hidden gem in this whole collection.

EA has announced a new patch for NHL 24 that addresses a good bit of community feedback after the launch of the game. Updates to the Hybrid and Goalie Controls along with adjustments to the Goalie Fatigue System and more are included in Patch 1.1.1. Players can also expect updates to center ice art for multiple teams across the NHL and AHL along with uniform changes across multiple leagues. There will also be another patch coming in early November that addresses highly-requested changes that includes adjustments to the lacrosse move, unintentional push check in front of the net when attempting a one-timer, goalie tuning and more. The big focus of this patch was addressing the feedback with the Hybrid control option, which made the game difficult to play for users who require core actions be performed on the Face Buttons of the controller. Today, 2K has officially announced its latest addition to PGA TOUR 2K23. The Clubhouse Pass Season 6 will be available starting on Friday, October 27. This will offer new daily and weekly events, much like the previous seasons, and will run all the way through January 12. The game is available for PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC and while the game has been out for a while, new players can catch up with DLC packs that include Virtual Currency and consumable ball packs. For the Clubhouse Pass Season 6, Paid Premium Passes will unlock additional rewards for the Season,  and these are available for separate purchase.

Another classicly-styled horror game indie game joins the genre’s ranks today with the announcement of SFB Games’ “Crow Country.” Like other relatively recent horror titles such as Signalis and Tormented Souls, Crow Country appears to be taking heavy influence from the original Resident Evil in terms of how it plays. This trilogy will include all the side games on DS featuring Funghi in addition to slews of concept art, comics and more fun little bonuses for players to check out. The biggest reveal by far is simply that the third entry will be available in English for the very first time so those who have been in love with the series since the DS era will finally be able to see how this story concluded.
