If you know anything about Ed Boon, it’s not just that he’s a great creator and visionary when it comes to fighting games and their potential. You’ll know by listening to him that he’s a fanboy. He loves putting in things within his titles that will make his “younger self” happy and has always pushed for bigger and better things to happen with the games he oversees. With Mortal Kombat 1, he got a lot of wishes granted, including finally getting Jeanne-Claude Van Damme in the title to play a version of Johnny Cage. But he recently revealed that he wanted more than that.

Mortal Kombat 1 is about to drop tomorrow for everyone, while others have been enjoying the game already due to certain early access privileges. But no matter what, the Kombat Pack will soon follow once the game fully releases. Quan-Chi, Ermac, Takeda, Peacemaker, Homelander, and Omni-Man will debut in the game via that pack, with some extra Kameos for good measure. However, as NetherRealm has proven in the past, they won’t let things stay as they are via one DLC pack. Even though ‘s early access launch is just a week away, NetherRealm Studios is still holding some cards close to its chest. It only just showed off Nitara, who is played by Hollywood star Megan Fox. And now it has finally revealed what fellow Hollywood actor Jean-Claude Van Damme will look like in the game as Johnny Cage.

A new Mortal Kombat 1 roster reveal is here, and this one stands out. Not only is Nitara returning to the series as a playable character for the first time in 17 years, she's voiced by actor and '00s sex symbol Megan Fox.

Mortal Kombat 1 has just given us our first look at Sindel during Gamescom Opening Night Live, as well as gameplay featuring Shao Kahn. The two will be joining the main fighter's roster.

It’s less than a month until release, and the Mortal Kombat 1 beta, which was made available to those who pre-ordered the game, provides a taste of what’s to come. While it doesn’t showcase the story mode or all the fighters available in the video game, it demonstrates how this soft reboot may rejuvenate the franchise in all the right ways. Those who pre-ordered NetherRealm Studios’ Mortal Kombat 1 can look forward to the upcoming beta this weekend. It runs from August 18th to August 21st for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S (not for PC or Nintendo Switch). A new trailer is available, showcasing some of the content players can look forward to.
