Creature collecting RPG Cassette Beasts will receive a multiplayer update in May, plus it's heading to mobile devices this year.

When it launched last year, Cassette Beasts was praised widely by the vast majority of those who played it as an accomplished Pokemon-inspired RPG, and it’s now expanded its horizons in significant fashion with some additions that players have been hoping to see in the game for some time now.

The Pokemon-style RPG Cassette Beasts is getting a major new update, adding online multiplayer and a host of other interesting features later this year. UK-based developer Bytten Studio and prolific indie publisher Raw Fury released Cassette Beasts on Windows and Linux computers last April, with a wider launch on Xbox systems and the Nintendo Switch the following month. Just like Pokemon, Cassette Beasts tasks players with collecting different elementally empowered creatures, although these monsters are stored within old-fashioned audio cassette tapes and summoned using a handheld cassette player.

Publisher Raw Fury and developer Bytten Studio will release the “Multiplayer” update for open-world monster collection RPG Cassette Beasts on May 20, the companies announced. A Moonstone Island collaboration event and mobile release is also planned.

Grab a pencil and start respooling, as tape-based Pokémon 'em up Cassette Beasts today revealed that the previously announced free update adding multiplayer will arrive on the 20th of May. Up to eight players will be able to explore together, as well as take part in two-player cooperative "raids" and duel each other. Also launching alongside this will be a collaboration with another Poké 'em up, Moonstone Island. Have a peek at all this in the video below.

Last night they announced Knights In Tight Spaces, where you'll build decks with cards for turn-based tactical manoeuvres and magic-tinged action so you can bash baddies on small grids. Publisher Raw Fury and Fights in Tight Spaces developer Ground Shatter have announced turn-based strategy deckbuilder Knights in Tight Spaces for PC (Steam). A release date was not announced.

Stealth platformer Ereban: Shadow Legacy recently resurfaced with a new trailer, with developer Baby Robot Games announcing that the game will be launching for PC in April. It was announced at the same time that the game would no longer be published by Raw Fury, while the status of its Game Pass launch was also unclear.

Developer Baby Robot Games has announced that Ereban: Shadow Legacy is no longer coming to Xbox Game Pass due to a change in publisher. Despite the unfortunate Xbox Game Pass news, Ereban is still set for a Steam release on April 10.

The Switch version of open-world deckbuilder life simulation game Moonstone Island will launch in spring 2024, publisher Raw Fury and developer Studio Supersoft announced.

Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley will be available for Switch alongside its previously announced PC (Steam) version when it launches in Q1 2024, publisher Raw Fury and developer Hyper Games announced.

Kingdom Eighties: Summer of Greed will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch, iOS via App Store, and Android via Google Play on October 16, publisher Raw Fury and developer Fury Studios announced. The iOS and Android versions are newly announced.

The first-ever worldwide playable demo of Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley is now available for PC via Steam until October 16, publisher Raw Fury and developer Hyper Games announced.

Open-world deckbuilder life simulation game Moonstone Island will launch for PC via Steam on September 20 for $19.99 / £16.75 / €19.50, followed by Switch at a later date, publisher Raw Fury and developer Studio Supersoft announced. It will be available at a 15 percent-off launch discount price for a limited time.

Arcade action game Pizza Possum will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC via Steam on September 28, publisher Raw Fury and developer Cosy Computer announced.

Horror game Post Trauma will launch for consoles and PC via Steam in spring 2024, publisher Raw Fury and developer RED SOUL GAMES announced as part of Gamescom 2023: Opening Night Live.
