Nixxes Software has confirmed that Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition is available on PC to preload. It also revealed the global release timings – the port goes live on March 21st at 8 AM PDT/11 AM EDT for those living in the United States, with London players gaining access at 3 PM GMT.

Ghost of Tsushima is publisher PlayStation’s fourth biggest Steam launch in terms of concurrent players.

Sucker Punch Productions’ Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is now available for PC via Steam and the Epic Game Store. Launched in 2021 for PS4 and PS5, the PC version is handled by Nixxes and supports Ultrawide monitors, Nvidia DLSS 3, AMD FSR 3 and more. Check out the launch trailer below.

After the Helldivers 2 account-linking fiasco, which Sony backtracked on, Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is the latest Steam port from the company to be delisted from certain countries on Steam. According to SteamDB’s history of the listing (which you can view here), around 180 countries can no longer purchase the title.

Helldivers 2 has abruptly found itself in the middle of raging controversy, with Sony’s decision to make PlayStation Network logins mandatory for Steam players to be able to play the co-op shooter having been met with widespread backlash. With another first-party Sony game set to launch on PC imminently in the form of Ghost of Tsushima, maybe have wondered whether it will have similar requirements will be applicable as well, though developer Sucker Punch has offered some clarifications.

A new update patch has just been released for the PC version of Horizon Forbidden West that corrects some problems players have been having with the Nvidia Reflex On+Boost feature, among other things. The second Horizon game launched on PlayStation consoles back in 2022, earning mainly positive reviews for its stunning visuals and impressive vocal performances, even if some found the story to be lacking. As samurai warrior Jin Sakai, players were tasked with liberating Tsushima Island from an invading Mongolian army using a mix of ancient swordplay and ninja-like stealth. In 2021, Ghost of Tsushima was updated for the PS5, adding a new story expansion that took Jin to Iki Island to battle a sinister cult.

Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition is set to arrive on PC on March 21. Ahead of its launch, developer Nixxes Software has released a detailed list of PC system requirements for the game. The studio, tasked with porting the PlayStation exclusive to PC, has also detailed the customisation options that will be available at launch. Horizon Forbidden West is one of the best-looking games on PS5, but Nixxes has opted for an approach that would allow the visually demanding game to run “on a wide variety of PC hardware.”

Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition will launch for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on March 21 for $59.99, publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment and developers Guerrilla Games and Nixxes Software announced.

Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition is reportedly the first two-disc PS5 game. As per an image posted by the ‘Does it play?' Twitter account, the base game, its Burning Shores expansion, and some digital goodies all total out to 121GB, and will be available on the two discs included in the physical edition. The game is slated to launch Friday, October 6, and with that, it has beaten the upcoming Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth to the punch, which was also planned for release on two discs. This move is a big win for console owners who value physical media — or rather, the ability to access games anywhere and anytime without restrictions such as a constant internet connection.

With the likes of God of War, Marvel’s Spider-Man, and Horizon Zero Dawn, Sony has enjoyed plenty of success on PC with ports of its first party PlayStation titles, but not all of them have had similar luck. A handful of PlayStation’s PC releases have failed to attract sizeable crowds, and it seems the most recent one falls in that category. 

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart on PC is for all intents and purposes unplayable without an SSD, experts have revealed.

When it was announced that Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart’s PC port would not need an SSD on minimum settings, plenty of reminders were issued about how developer Insomniac Games touted the PS5’s SSD in the lead-up to the game’s original launch, and claimed that it had been designed specifically with that hardware in mind. As it turns out, however, Rift Apart might have been unlikely to be able to run properly (if at all) on a PS4 after all.
