Baldur's Gate 3 is an extremely horny game, with every single party member in the game itching to jump your bones given the slightest chance. That's why it should probably come as no surprise that a series of raunchy body pillows are currently being made, featuring select party members that you encounter in the game. Fan favorite characters Astarion and Karlach are included in the initial lineup, as expected, with each case featuring both a normal and saucy design on the front and back.

Even Baldur's Gate veterans haven't seen much of the Githyanki before. One of the more overlooked races in Dungeons & Dragons, they only made a brief appearance in Baldur's Gate 2, and even that didn't give us much of an understanding of Githyanki culture. Despite this, they've been part of the lore since the first edition, so Larian Studios had a lot of history to draw upon when creating Lae'zel. And, as we now know, a lot of unique Githyanki words and phrases.

Baldur's Gate 3 has a pretty cool selection of companions for you to choose from, each with their own unique charms and quirks that makes travelling around with them and watching them interact with each other an absolute joy. However, a certain blunt Githyanki has caused somewhat of a stir on social media this past week, as some believe Lae'zal's status as the game's least popular companion is because female characters are held to a much higher standard than male ones.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is packed with dialogue, including tons of little scenarios that you may never see unless you replicate a very specific set of directions. For instance, I’m absolutely in love with Astarion’s line delivery when you torch him with a sun cannon and bring him back to life. It’s all very Dennis Reynolds from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and I appreciate Larian Studios for enabling that level of chaos. The voice actors did fantastic work, and many of them are taking to social media to join in on the jokes around the game.

In the wake of Baldur's Gate 3's success with fans and critics alike, a new form of speedrunning has emerged, and it's saucier than you might expect. Players are engaging in a new type of speedrun for the game, where the goal isn't to finish the main storyline but to seduce one of the game's companions and successfully canoodle by reaching one of the game's sex scenes.

For Baldur's Gate III, Larian Studios used intimacy coordinators to help with its romantic scenes. In a recent interview with BBC, voice actors Devora Wilde (who voices Lae'zel) and Jennifer English (Shadowheart) revealed the coordinators were brought on to help actors feel more comfortable acting out the more amorous moments.

When we talk about videogames taking cues from Hollywood, it's normally a reference to bombastic cinematics or a stacked cameo cast, not really behind the scenes staff. That's the case for Baldur's Gate 3 though, which used intimacy coordinators—professional advocates for actors appearing in explicit scenes—to help manage production of its romances between characters.

Baldur's Gate 3's companions are brought to life using motion capture, which means that the various raunchy scenes with the player character had to be acted out in real life. In a new interview, two Baldur's Gate 3 actors share how they shot these scenes, and all the "weirdness" that came with it.
