It looks like No Man's Sky is getting some more content soon, as a new update is spotted on the Steam database. This coincides with Sean Murray cryptically tweeting a single emoji, indicating that the next update will be one of the big ones that adds a bunch of new features.
The Steam update notes that there has been a change to No Man's Sky's internal branch, indicating that a new patch is on the way. As opposed to being a smaller hotfix, Murray's recent tweet leads many to believe that this will be a much bigger update and one that's coming soon, given the changes made on the backend.
On its own, this could just be a minor update. But here are the tweets from Murray that make many fans believe that far more is in the works here.
A tweet of this kind from Murray tends to precede a larger update, and this time, the No Man's Sky director has opted for the omega symbol. Since this is the final letter in the Greek alphabet, some fans believe that this is Murray's way of hinting that this will be the final No Man's Sky update, before moving on to his next game, Light No Fire, which was revealed at The Game Awards last year.
While this will come as a disappointment to many, it's fair to say that No Man's Sky has had a great run. After an infamously disappointing launch, No Man's Sky has become the poster child for turning a game around after release, with various free updates creating a game that has a strong, dedicated following. Having launched all the way back in 2016, it's been supported longer than many games would have in the same circumstances, so it won't be too surprising to see Hello Games call it a day, and focus on its other titles.
As for when this update is ready to drop, we'll have to wait and see. Since Murray tweeted the Omega symbol over the weekend, some fans are adamant that it will drop this week. For the sake of everyone's hype levels, let's hope that it is this rumoured larger update and not just a minor hotfix. But given Murray's secrecy over it all, I think it's safe to assume that more is at play here.

Today was Pokémon Day, marking the release of the original Game Boy titles in Japan, and Nintendo and The Pokémon Company used the occasion to reveal what’s coming next for the franchise. The big news was the announcement of the next major core entry in the series, Pokémon Legends: Z-A, which won’t be coming until 2025. This means 2024 will be the first year in a long time without any new console Pokémon game, although fans may not actually be that upset by that, as many have been urging Game Freak to take more time with their games following the messy launch of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Asteroids are ancient space rocks floating in their orbits in space. However, sometimes they come dangerously close to a planet like Earth. This happens due to the interaction with a large planet's gravitational field, which can send the tumbling towards a planet, raising a potential impact scenario. NASA and other space agencies use advanced space and ground-based telescopes to monitor asteroids and minimize the uncertainties around their close approaches. NASA has now shed light on an asteroid that is expected to pass Earth by a close margin today, February 14.
