Starfield's next big update lets you smile in Photo Mode

It's an exciting time for Stardew Valley players, as creator Eric Barone has been slowly dishing out updates over the course of the past week, all culminating in the release of Patch 1.6 earlier today. It added a bunch of new features, including new festivals and seasonal events, a mastery system, a new farm type, more NPC interactions, and much more.

Despite all the success and hype around the mechs of , the upcoming mech farming game may be Steam's next big thing. 2024 has been a year of indie games and smaller studios taking the spotlight, and is no exception. The cooperative shooter has become one of the most popular releases in gaming history while continuing its development with well-timed content updates. However, early previews show it may be the perfect game for those who want a more relaxing and casual experience.

To get Stardew Valley fans excited about the upcoming 1.6 update, its developer has been sharing some of the patch notes - and this is the most cursed one yet. 

While we felt it wasn't an amazing game, we quite liked The Lord Of The Rings: Return To Moria's dwarven survival antics. It was a bit of cosy fun for a group of pals, and thankfully, open-ended co-op play looks to be the focus of the next big update, which adds a new sandbox mode that lets you pick rocks and sink pints free of storyline constraints. Not to mention new armour, weapons, and quality of life improvements like the ability to pause your single player sessions.

Sony has issued a new system software update for the PlayStation 5 that brings audio improvements to the DualSense controller, new features for Parties and Share Screen, and more. The update also adds the ability to adjust the brightness of the PS5's power indicator. PS5 system software update 9.00 is now rolling out and PlayStation users should get a notification for the same when they turn on the console.
