Ready, Steady, Ship, a brand new couch co-op game, will be officially launching on multiple platforms on April 19. Developer JollyBits has finally announced the official release date for Ready, Steady, Ship, a game that challenges up to two players with various action-packed puzzles and hectic gameplay involving conveyor belts. Ready, Steady, Ship will join other co-op titles on the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, as well as on PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG.
Local couch co-op gaming has become incredibly popular lately, with several titles taking top spots when it comes to the best couch co-op games. However, Ready, Steady, Ship seeks to throw its hat into the ring with some fun and inventive new gameplay mechanics and features, some of which were revealed in the release date announcement.
The new co-op-focused puzzle gamerequires players to think and work together to quickly and chaotically assemble the most efficient conveyor belts as orders pile up. Players must «keep the goods flowing» in Ready, Steady, Ship, as orders and conveyor belts continue to become increasingly difficult. JollyBits first revealed Ready, Steady, Ship back in February, and while the game falls in line with other popular couch co-op games, players will need to adapt to a plethora of hazards involving wacky conveyor belts and physics-based challenges.
Ready, Steady, Ship is a game centered around cooperative play but also acts as a puzzle game, allowing up to two players to solve challenges at the same time. Along the way, players will need to rotate, switch, and create efficient pathways in order to get packages from point A to point B. Players will handle boxes by hand as well as various pieces of construction equipment. JollyBits notes that playing solo is possible and a valid way of playing through Ready, Steady, Ship's gauntlet of challenges and levels, but the developer recommends two players for the best gaming experience. Only couch co-op will be offered, as there will be no online multiplayer mode upon release.
Key features within Ready, Steady, Ship include a wide selection of tools and equipment, providing players with a wide range of flexibility and freedom. As players progress through the game, they will unlock more equipment and conveyor parts. The factories players will encounter are no ordinary factories, however, featuring pools of acid, space vacuums, and dangerous rooftop gaps for players to jump across. Ready, Steady, Ship combines fun gameplay with a cartoon-inspired art style similar to other popular wacky co-op titles like Overcooked 2 and more. In addition, JollyBits also advertises «easy and responsive controls» within Ready, Steady, Ship, something that
