During the EVO 2023 tournament over the weekend, there was quite a bit of fighting game news revealed. Warner Bros. Games and NeatherRealm Studios revealed three more characters for its upcoming Mortal Kombat 1 game that is set to release on September 19. All three of these characters hail from different realms and have been combined into one story-related trailer that has been named The Banished. There is gameplay and story elements revealed here and it also offers a new Kameo Fighter, which brings the total announced to four fighters in this trailer.
Currently, Mortal Kombat 1 includes all new backstories for fighters. So far, the following characters have been announced: Liu Kang, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Kung Lao, Kitana, Mileena, Shang Tsung, Johnny Cage, Kenshi, Smoke, Rain, Li Mei, Tanya, Baraka and Geras. The first new fighter to be announced is the return of Reptile, who will have his human form as his base as opposed to recent titles. Also known as Syzoth, Reptile is described as a reptilian slave and shape shifter that hails from the Outworld that can spew powerful acid-like substances at opponents. Reptile will quickly morph to a lizard during gameplay and will also disappear, much like his original move set.
The next announcement comes in the form of Ashrah, a Netherrealm demon who has abandoned the evil-ridden ideologies and fights with an enchanted Kriss dagger. Lastly, Havik is an anarchist rebel from the oppressive realm of Seido that is hellbent on taking down his world’s regime while leveraging a unique limb-tearing fighting style. He also has claws that extract much like a famous character in the Marvel universe, but he has the ability to use detached limbs to beat down opponents. The Kameo Fighter that was revealed is Sareena as she can assist during matches with a wide variety of support moves.
To go along with all these characters, it was previously announced that the Kombat Pack 1 will include more playable characters. This adds Quan Chi, Ermac, Takeda, Peacemaker, Omni-Man and Homelander. This brings the total current fighters available in the game to 26, rather they be Kameo or playable. Shang Tsung is also available as a pre-order bonus. Those that pre-order Mortal Kombat 1 for PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S will receive access to the Pre-Order Beeta, which runs from August 18-21. The game is also available on the Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam or Epic Games. you can check out The Banished trailer below.

Mind you, whether or not Modern Warfare III is worthy of the Price — as in Captain John — is still anybody's guess at this point. If you are keen, however, I do have the best bargains for it laid out below. It's the same deal on deals for Mortal Kombat 1, Starfield and many more.
