Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is less than a month and a half away from release, and though Insomniac and Sony have already shown off quite a bit of the game in recent months, with its launch not far away now, there’s plenty of appetite out there for more new details to be shared. And more new details will indeed be coming soon.
Insomniac Games has confirmed that it recently invited press and content creators to play Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 at a preview event in Los Angeles. That means you can look forward to hands-on previews and impressions of the highly anticipated sequel to go live at multiple outlets and content creators later this week, on Friday, September 15, at 8 AM PT. It’s safe to assume that plenty of new gameplay details and footage will be released as well.
Whether we can also expect a State of Play showing at some point in the coming weeks remains to be seen, but thanks to this preview events, we will, at the very least, be getting another meaty look at the game before it comes out.

In a new Spider-Man comparison shot between Insomniac's first game and the upcoming sequel, we see Peter Parker clinging to the wall as he looks over New York City, no longer covered in smog. It's vibrant, the sky brighter, with far more trees transforming the grey wasteland into a green oasis. But fans aren't fussed about NYC, they're all about Peter Parker's dumptruck.
