Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 – New Details and Impressions Coming on September 15

Sony has announced the 'regular' new PS5 Spider-Man 2 bundle, which will launch alongside the game later this month.

October is nearly upon us, meaning Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is less than three weeks away from release. As Insomniac Games drops several new details, from the many accessibility features (including the new Challenge Level Modifiers) to a partial Trophy list, it also has some new suit reveals scheduled for October 12th.

As we've come to expect from PlayStation Studios games, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will ship with a whole bunch of accessibility options, ensuring that the action title can be fully customised to suit whoever's playing. Developer Insomniac Games is no stranger to this stuff thanks to its stellar work on the first Marvel's Spider-Man and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, but the studio says the Spidey sequel will take things even further.

With the launch of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 just around the corner, our team at Insomniac is excited to share one of the ways we can all #BeGreaterTogether – through accessibility! So today, I’d like to highlight some of the notable accessibility features swinging into the game at launch on October 20, then I’ll pass it over to Sam Schaffel, Insomniac Games’s Accessibility Design Researcher, who will provide an update on more features arriving in a post-launch update.

Publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Insomniac Games have detailed the accessibility features included in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, including additional accessibility features coming in a December update and how the game works with the upcoming Access controller.

Hasbro's annual Pulse Con is here again. An opportunity for a number of different franchises to show off new and upcoming toys and action figures for the first time with everything from Transformers to Magic: The Gathering making an appearance. In a new Spider-Man comparison shot between Insomniac's first game and the upcoming sequel, we see Peter Parker clinging to the wall as he looks over New York City, no longer covered in smog. It's vibrant, the sky brighter, with far more trees transforming the grey wasteland into a green oasis. But fans aren't fussed about NYC, they're all about Peter Parker's dumptruck.

Football season is in full swing and we are pleased to announce the new PS5 Console – EA Sports FC 24 Bundle. ColePowered Games has announced that their procedural detective game, Shadows of Doubt, will get its first big content update on September 25. The Cheats and Liars update will not only come with some bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements, but it will also let you investigate infidelity.

This past week has been a good one for Spidey fans. With just over a month until Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 swings onto the PS5 console, we’re getting a clearer idea of what we can expect come October 20. Insomniac Games has given us a closer look at the Super Hero and Super Villains cast with new character posters. Little under 24 hours ago we enjoyed a tour of the expanded Marvel’s New York (and a look at new suits) at State of Play. And today, you can get a deeper dive into the game’s combat, activities, story and more thanks to an extensive hands-on we had with a preview build of the game, bolstered by further insight from key staff who worked on the project – Senior Creative Director Bryan Intihar, Senior Game Director Ryan Smith, and Senior Narrative Director Jon Paquette.
