Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 – Exclusive Suit Reveals Set for October 12th at New York Comic Con

Spider-Man 2 will receive a New Game+ mode as part of a post-launch update, later this year. As per Insomniac Games Community Director James Stevenson, just like the 2018's Marvel's Spider-Man, those looking to replay the title and mop up all the side quests might have to wait a bit, though for now, simply beating it once grants access to an ‘Ultimate' difficulty setting for a fresh playthrough. For the uninitiated, a New Game + mode generally allows players to plunge back into a game's campaign in an overpowered state, as the in-game character carries over all unlocked abilities, tools and weapons, and gear upgrades.

Spider-Man 2 is packed with classic villains from the web-slinger’s deep roster of bad guys. Spider-Man 2 is just one more sleep away and will undoubtedly have you beating up all kinds of baddies with Peter Parker and Miles Morales. Unless you have godlike reflexes, some of those baddies will get the odd punch in here and there as well though. In the first two Spider-Man games, Peter and Miles would just shrug off the attack and keep on fighting, but it was recently confirmed by PlayStation that Spider-Man 2 will feature suit damage this time around if you get wailed on enough.

The PS5 exclusive will also receive mission replay functionality in a future patch.

One of the things that made the Insomniac Games titles with Peter Parker and Miles Morales so special was that they decided to not only embrace “their version” of the mythos and tell familiar yet new stories, but they embraced the past of the franchise in a way that everyone could love. For example, they had multiple villains from the comics show up to take on the Spider-Men and focused on the relationships between them for one reason or another. But the thing that many fans have been happy about is the number of spider suits that they can wear that references the other elements of the franchise, which Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will continue.

In a significant move to address child sexual exploitation online, the Australian eSafety Commissioner has levied a fine against X, a prominent microblogging platform backed by Elon Musk. X has been ordered to pay a fine of $610,500 AUD (about $384,000 USD) due to its failure to provide critical information regarding the detection, removal, and prevention of child sexual abuse material. In addition to this, Google has also received a formal warning from the authorities for similar non-disclosure.
