Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 ‘Expanded Marvel’s New York’ and ‘Digital Deluxe Edition’ trailers

When Insomniac created a version of the Marvel universe for their title with Spider-Man, many wondered just how “intertwined” the video game would be with the Marvel-616 comics universe. As we would find out in Marvel’s Spider-Man…it wasn’t that intertwined at all. For example, instead of showing the origins of Peter Parker, they skipped eight years into his career, where he had already faced many villains and put several away, including Kingpin, at the start of the game. Norman Osborne was the mayor of New York City and NOT the Green Goblin, and Peter was working side-by-side with his mentor, Dr. Otto Octavius.

After initially circulating on Twitter last week (and being removed), the cinematic TV spot for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is now officially available. It sees Peter Parker and Miles Morales battling Venom in Manhattan, unsure if they can protect their loved ones but still committing to fight. To say that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is one of the most hyped games this year would be an understatement. It’s the sequel to 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man, which sold millions. Insomniac Games dropped a new gameplay trailer, showcasing the various open-world activities that New York offers. As it turns out, regardless of frame rate, you’ll be enjoying ray tracing throughout.
