I found myself in a variety of odd situations while solving puzzles in Lorelei and the Laser Eyes. I spent some time staring at a mid-century movie poster for a documentary about a decomposing cat, wondering if I should focus on the runtime or the date it came out. I pulled up old hotel blueprints and deciphered the math of dead architects. I played a handful of ASCII-style PC games to receive messages from a 19th-century magician who calls me his sister. I found some toy blocks and shoved them into the walls of a secret cathedral. I slipped between realities and traversed a maze that shattered into shard-like pieces under my feet. I watched a woman fall to her death. I wondered if that woman was me.
Sableye, the unassuming Ghost-Dark hybrid, is actually based on a real-life monster encounter. Introduced in, this Gen-3 Pokémon quickly became a fan favorite for its unique design and adaptability in battle, thanks to its hybrid nature and prankster abilities. Its anime debut came in, where it was wielded by Cassidy of Team Rocket. While portrayed Sableye as harmless, that perception would change with its main-series debut. The episode “Ready, Willing, & Sableye” is where it would be more accurately depicted as the real-world creatures its design is based on.
Forty U.S. states and Washington, D.C. called on Meta Platforms to crack down on scammers who hijack Facebook and Instagram accounts, to address a "dramatic" surge in account takeovers.
One of the best parts about is the complete freedom to explore the map on horseback, but what's even better is the sheer number of horses that Arthur can choose to accompany him on his journey. In addition to visual and aesthetic differences, each horse has its own specific set of strengths, weaknesses, and mannerisms affecting how it interacts with the Western RPG's protagonist. Indeed, personal preference may play a role in each player's choice of steed — but ultimately, there can only be one best horse in
In September 2023, the eccentric, larger-than-life folks cast for Season 10 of reality TV show 90 Day Fiancé were revealed. Among them was now-30-year-old Kentucky resident Clayton, matched with 26-year-old Anali of Peru. While it wasn't immediately obvious, it's since become abundantly clear that Clayton is a hardcore Old School RuneScape player – a 20,000-hour type of hardcore player. The MMO's community pounced on the news back in November, and after a new episode which aired on January 7, Clayton's story has once again become a legendary meme factory.

We reported earlier in the year that Netflix had big-brain ideas for the oft-overlooked gaming arm of its business, and here’s the bombshell: the streaming subscription will add all three entries from Rockstar’s remastered GTA Trilogy on 14th December. Why would you spend $199.99 on a single, limited-edition Switch cart? Because it has 12 games on it, that’s why — with some of the most original, fascinating, artistic, and downright best indie releases of the last decade among them.
Annapurna Interactive has published some very, very good games since its formation in 2016, and 12 of those titles will soon be bundled onto a single Switch cartridge. The only catch — and it's admittedly quite a big one — is that it'll cost a whopping $200.

Following the conclusion of ‘s first and likely only season on August 29, 2023, viewers are anxious to know whether or not there will be a second season for the show and if they will ever see more of Timothy Olyphant’s U.S. Marshall Raylan Givens.
An animated movie based on science fiction catventure Stray is in "active development", reports Entertainemnt Weekly. It's being developed by Annapurna Animation, the recently formed animation division of Annapurna Pictures, who also operate Stray's publisher Annapurna Interactive.
The critically-acclaimed cat-based adventure game Stray is getting an actual animated movie. Even cooler? The title's original publisher Annapurna is making the flick, after it scored a surprise hit on Netflix with its first animated feature Nimona. The creative team is still under wraps, but Annapurna Animation head Robert Baird told Entertainment Weekly that the film is in active development and that it’ll be the “greatest hopepunk movie that's ever been made.”

The original run of Justified opens with Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens blowing away a gunrunner at a swanky Miami rooftop pool after goading him into drawing first. When an internal affairs investigation opens up around his actions and Raylan is forced to return to Kentucky, Timothy Olyphant gets to perfect his comic timing, assuring anyone around the office who asks him that the shooting was, in fact, justified.

Developer Cardboard Computer sporadically released their poetic adventure game, Kentucky Route Zero, in acts spread across multiple years. It was a teasing release schedule that only aided the game’s surreal mystery, so it’s no surprise that the studio have dropped the game’s first major update three years after the fifth and final chapter wrapped things up. The aptly named Postmodern Update overhauls the game’s user interface with a new Modern mode, alongside a host of bug fixes and more language options.
Twin Peaks, the beloved mystery serial drama created by David Lynch and Mark Frost, has been the inspiration for several video games since the show first premiered in 1990. From Deadly Premonition and Alan Wake to Kentucky Route Zero and more, countless games have paid homage to the cult classic TV series centered on Special Agent Dale Cooper’s investigation into the murder of high school girl Laura Palmer in the quiet town of Twin Peaks, Washington.
I keep forgetting that Netflix have their own games offering, despite the streaming giant keeping it well stocked with a fairly solid library of free (if you’re a Netflix subscriber anyway) games - including the likes of Oxenfree 2, Kentucky Route Zero and Immortality. If you wanted some more proof that Netflix is pretty serious about this whole “getting into video games” thing, the movie streaming platform-turned-games publisher is now looking to unite their two fronts by experimenting with game streaming.
Netflix is officially bringing its games to more devices. So far, the company's impressive library of games has only been available on iOS and Android. Now, though, Netflix is starting to use its streaming tech to publicly test its titles on TVs and computers.

Social media is all atwitter — um, all a-X-er? — about the emoji at the heart of last week's federal court ruling allowing a securities suit to proceed against billionaire investor Ryan Cohen. To be sure, litigation following a corporate collapse sprouts like weeds, but in this case, both my law professor and wordsmith sides are fascinated by the allegation that Cohen used an image of a smiling moon to boost the stock price of Bed Bath & Beyond, after which he started selling his significant stake.
Last November Devolver Digital teased a big update to a videogame over seven years old, the unexpected hit Broforce, a side-scrolling action shooter about outrageous American action movie stereotype heroes doing outrageous freedom-building explosive exercises of military might. It was an announcement so unexpected that honestly I had forgotten I wrote a whole article about it and the teaser trailer where the bros flex so hard that Satan himself disintegrates in the shining glow reflected from their glistening, oiled muscles.
It wasn’t terribly shocking when Netflix announced it would be adding games to its platform. Instead, the news was treated with a mild disinterest. “Games” on the platform at that point were the “choose your own adventure” style interactive TV shows like Black Mirror: Bandersnatch and Carmen Sandiego: To Steal or Not to Steal. Though Bandersnatch had a hot moment, buzz for the “game” didn’t last terribly long. Then, when actual games first started rolling out on the platform, they were little more than inconsequential time fillers with names like Shooty Hoops.
Devolver Digital has announced that The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood will come out on August 16. This is the new game by Deconstructeam, the studio behind hits such as Gods Will Be Watching and The Red Strings Club, so expectations are set for another narrative hit.
The Queen's Gambit Chess has finally gone live on Android and iOS, via Netflix Games. Almost three years since the Anya Taylor-Joy-led miniseries premiered on the platform, developer Ripstone Games — best known for immersive board video games like Poker Club and Chess Ultra — has dedicated this love letter composed of lessons for newbies, puzzles, and faithfully recreated locations from the show. The game is available exclusively to Netflix subscribers, regardless of what plan you're on. Now, it's only natural for players to wonder what this game provides that Chess.com doesn't, and much of it boils down to the presentation and the 3D world it has created. Plus, the show's brand recognition is good for introducing chess to more people.
